TL;DR: In this paper, the coexistence curves and critical parameters for solutions of nitrobenzene with a series of n-alkanes from n-pentane to n-eicosane were given.
Abstract: Coexistence curves and critical parameters are given for solutions of nitrobenzene with a series of n-alkanes from n-pentane to n-eicosane. By mixing suitable n-alkanes, a pseudosolvent was obtained and the critical properties of the nitrobenzene + pseudo-n-alkane solution were compared with those of the corresponding binary solution.

TL;DR: For a 1-nitropropane-dodecane solution the coexistence curve was plotted and critical parameters determined in this article, where the critical part of the effect may be described by a power relation where the exponent ψ= 0.405 × 0.01.
Abstract: For a 1-nitropropane-dodecane solution the coexistence curve was plotted and critical parameters determined. They were found to be Tc = 12.02 ± 0.l°C, xc = 0.66 ± 0.01 mol fraction of 1-nitropropane. Studies of the nonlinear dielectric effect (NDE) have been performed at various temperatures for a solution of critical concentration. The critical part of the effect may be described by a power relation where the exponent ψ= 0.405 × 0.01. The background effect is principally of an orientational nature.
