Genetic determinants of antithyroid drug-induced agranulocytosis by human leukocyte antigen genotyping and genome-wide association study
Pei-Lung Chen,Shyang-Rong Shih,Pei-Wen Wang,Ying-Chao Lin,Chen-Chung Chu,Jung-Hsin Lin,Jung-Hsin Lin,Szu-Chi Chen,Ching-Chung Chang,Ching-Chung Chang,Tien-Shang Huang,Keh-Sung Tsai,Fen-Yu Tseng,Chih-Yuan Wang,Jin-Ying Lu,Wei-Yih Chiu,Chien-Ching Chang,Yu-Hsuan Chen,Yuan-Tsong Chen,Yuan-Tsong Chen,Cathy S.J. Fann,Wei-Shiung Yang,Tien-Chun Chang +22 more
TL;DR: A two-stage association study on two separate subject sets, using direct human leukocyte antigen genotyping and SNP-based genome-wide association study, shows results that could be useful for antithyroid-induced agranulocytosis and potentially for agranulateosis caused by other chemicals.
Journal ArticleDOI
Diagnosis of more gestational diabetes lead to better pregnancy outcomes: Comparing the International Association of the Diabetes and Pregnancy Study Group criteria, and the Carpenter and Coustan criteria
En-Tzu Wu,Feng-Jung Nien,Chun-Heng Kuo,Szu-Chi Chen,Kuan-Yu Chen,Lee-Ming Chuang,Hung-Yuan Li,Chien-Nan Lee +7 more
TL;DR: The International Association of the Diabetes and Pregnancy Study Group (IADPSG) criteria for gestational diabetes are associated with increased prevalence, but it remains unknown if intervention for more women with Gestational diabetes mellitus by the IadPSG criteria results in better pregnancy outcomes than adopting the Carpenter and Coustan criteria in Asian populations.
Journal ArticleDOI
Overweight and obesity are associated with clustering of metabolic risk factors in early pregnancy and the risk of GDM.
I-Weng Yen,Chien-Nan Lee,Ming Wei Lin,Kang-Chih Fan,Jung-Nan Wei,Kuan-Yu Chen,Szu-Chi Chen,Yi-Yun Tai,Chun-Heng Kuo,Chia-Hung Lin,Chih-Yao Hsu,Lee-Ming Chuang,Shin-Yu Lin,Hung-Yuan Li +13 more
TL;DR: Overweight/obesity is associated with clustering of metabolic risk factors in early pregnancy, which is correlated with higher risk of GDM, and metabolic risk Factors during early pregnancy should be evaluated in overweight/obese women.
Journal ArticleDOI
Study on the effects of wafer thinning and dicing on chip strength
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors identified the weak regions, in terms of mechanical strength, in chips in a semiconductor wafer using the three-point bending test, which was observed in two sectors approximately 45/spl deg/m wide, axisymmetric to the wafer center.
Journal ArticleDOI
Progression of insulin resistance: A link between risk factors and the incidence of diabetes
Wan-Chen Wu,Jung-Nan Wei,Szu-Chi Chen,Kang-Chih Fan,Chia-Hung Lin,Chung-Yi Yang,Mao-Shin Lin,Shyang-Rong Shih,Cyue-Huei Hua,Yenh-Chen Hsein,Lee-Ming Chuang,Hung-Yuan Li +11 more
TL;DR: Change of IR can be used as a surrogate marker of incident diabetes, and subjects with pre-diabetes or metabolic syndrome were associated with a more rapid increase of IR.
