Journal ArticleDOI
Natural Human Plasmacytoid Dendritic Cells Induce Antigen-Specific T-Cell Responses in Melanoma Patients
Jurjen Tel,Erik H.J.G. Aarntzen,Tetsuro Baba,Gerty Schreibelt,Barbara M. Schulte,Daniel Benitez-Ribas,Otto C. Boerman,Sandra Croockewit,Wim J.G. Oyen,Michelle M. van Rossum,Gregor Winkels,Pierre Coulie,Cornelis J. A. Punt,Carl G. Figdor,I. Jolanda M. de Vries +14 more
TL;DR: The results indicate that vaccination with naturally occurring pDC is feasible with minimal toxicity and that in patients with metastatic melanoma, it induces favorable immune responses.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cytokine production of lung cancer cell lines: Correlation between their production and the inflammatory/immunological responses both in vivo and in vitro.
Fukuyama Takashi,Yoshinobu Ichiki,Sousuke Yamada,Yoshiki Shigematsu,Tetsuro Baba,Yoshika Nagata,Makiko Mizukami,Masakazu Sugaya,Mitsuhiro Takenoyama,Takeshi Hanagiri,Kenji Sugio,Kosei Yasumoto +11 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that TGF‐β produced by tumor cells could inhibit the induction of CTL in vitro, and CTL were induced in the three lung cancer cell lines that produced a lower amount of T GF‐β (<100 pg/mL).
Journal ArticleDOI
Clinical significance of cancer/testis antigens expression in patients with non-small cell lung cancer.
Yoshiki Shigematsu,Takeshi Hanagiri,Hironobu Shiota,Koji Kuroda,Tetsuro Baba,Makiko Mizukami,Tetsuya So,Yoshinobu Ichiki,Manabu Yasuda,Tomoko So,Mitsuhiro Takenoyama,Kosei Yasumoto +11 more
TL;DR: Expression of MAGE-A3, NY-ESO-1 or KK-LC-1 did not affect survival of patients with NSCLC significantly, however, expression of at least one of such CT antigens negatively affect survivalOf patients withNSCLC (p=0.045).
Journal ArticleDOI
Preoperative CYFRA 21-1 and CEA as prognostic factors in patients with stage I non-small cell lung cancer.
Takeshi Hanagiri,Masakazu Sugaya,Masaru Takenaka,Sohich Oka,Tetsuro Baba,Yoshiki Shigematsu,Yoshika Nagata,Hidehiko Shimokawa,Hidetaka Uramoto,Mitsuhiro Takenoyama,Kosei Yasumoto,Fumihiro Tanaka +11 more
TL;DR: A high preoperative CYFRA 21-1 level was a significant independent prognostic factor in patients with stage I NSCLC and should be carefully followed-up to rule out occult metastasis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Association between lymphangiogenesis-/micrometastasis- and adhesion-related molecules in resected stage I NSCLC
Toshihiro Yamashita,Hidetaka Uramoto,Takamitsu Onitsuka,Kenji Ono,Tetsuro Baba,Tetsuya So,Tomoko So,Mitsuhiro Takenoyama,Takeshi Hanagiri,Tsunehiro Oyama,Kosei Yasumoto +10 more
TL;DR: A univariate and multivariate survival analysis demonstrated that old age, pathological T2 status, and micrometastasis were independently associated with an increased risk of poor survival in the patients who underwent a surgical resection of stage I NSCLC.
