Journal ArticleDOI

Treatment with Vitamin D/MOG Association Suppresses Experimental Autoimmune Encephalomyelitis.

TL;DR: The association of myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) with 1,25(OH) 2D3 was able to control EAE development and determined significant reduction in EAE incidence and in clinical scores.
Journal ArticleDOI

Heparin prevents in vitro glycocalyx shedding induced by plasma from COVID-19 patients.

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection on endothelial glycocalyx degradation were investigated in a cohort of 20 hospitalized patients with a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis and healthy subjects were enrolled in this study.
Journal ArticleDOI

Calcitriol Prevents Neuroinflammation and Reduces Blood-Brain Barrier Disruption and Local Macrophage/Microglia Activation.

TL;DR: It is indicated that early intervention with 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 can control the neuroinflammatory process that is the hallmark of EAE and MS immunopathogenesis and should thus be explored as an adjunct therapy for MS patients.
