Challenges and Directions for Green Chemical Engineering—Role of Nanoscale Materials
Andrew G. Livingston,Bernhardt L. Trout,István T. Horváth,Martin D. Johnson,Luigi Vaccaro,Joaquín Coronas,Callie W. Babbitt,Xiangliang Zhang,Thalappil Pradeep,Enrico Drioli,John D. Hayler,Kam Chiu Tam,C. Oliver Kappe,Anthony G. Fane,Anthony G. Fane,Gyorgy Szekely,Gyorgy Szekely +16 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors give a perspective on sustainable nanoscale engineering through the view of numerous academic and industrial experts. But, their focus is on the sustainable development goals set by the United Nations, which are a blueprint for a thriving and more sustainable future for all.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nanotechnologies for the treatment of water, air and soil.
Marta I. Litter,Wonyong Choi,Dionysios D. Dionysiou,Polycarpos Falaras,A. Hiskia,Gianluca Li Puma,Thalappil Pradeep,Jincai Zhao +7 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Atom transfer between precision nanoclusters and polydispersed nanoparticles: a facile route for monodisperse alloy nanoparticles and their superstructures
Paulami Bose,Papri Chakraborty,Jyoti Sarita Mohanty,Nonappa,Angshuman Ray Chowdhuri,Esma Khatun,Tripti Ahuja,Ananthu Mahendranath,Thalappil Pradeep +8 more
TL;DR: For the first time, spontaneous reactions between an atomically precise NC, Au25(PET)18, and polydispersed silver NPs with an average diameter of 4 nm and protected with PET are demonstrated, resulting in alloy NPs under ambient conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Power of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in Sustainable Chemistry and Engineering Research
Paul T. Anastas,Marcelo Antunes Nolasco,Francesca M. Kerton,Mary M. Kirchhoff,Peter Licence,Thalappil Pradeep,Bala Subramaniam,Audrey Moores +7 more
TL;DR: The authors in this paper proposed a framework to guide and trigger advances in sustainable chemistry and engineering, in a way similar to the 12 principles of Green Chemistry and the 12 Principles of Green Engineering, in order to assess reported discoveries in a uniform and easily recognizable way.
Journal ArticleDOI
Atomically precise and monolayer protected iridium clusters in solution
Shridevi Bhat,Indranath Chakraborty,Tuhina Adit Maark,Anuradha Mitra,Goutam De,Thalappil Pradeep +5 more
TL;DR: The first atomically precise and monolayer protected iridium cluster in solution, Ir9(PET)6 (PET -2-phenyethanethiol) was synthesized via a solid state method.
