Journal ArticleDOI
Formation and structure of a spontaneously adsorbed monolayer of arachidic on silver
TL;DR: A stable monolayer assembly can be formed on silver by the spontaneous adsorption (SA) of arachidic acid (CH 3 (CH 2 ) 18 COOH) from hexadecane as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Quantitative Aspects of Infrared External Reflection Spectroscopy: Polymer/Glassy Carbon Interface
TL;DR: The quantitative aspects of IR-ERS for the characterlzatlon of poly(methy1 methacrylate) (PMMA) on glassy carbon (GC) have been developed as discussed by the authors.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Surface Organization of a Spontaneously Adsorbed Monolayer of Arachidic Acid on Silver
TL;DR: Grazing incidence infrared (GI-IR) spectra of spontaneously adsorbed monolayers of arachidic acid on ambient silver surfaces have been recorded in this paper, which are very similar to previously obtained measurements on Langmuir - Blodgett (L-B) deposited films demonstrating great similarity between the L-B and spontaneously formed films.
