Journal ArticleDOI

Power Conversion With SiC Devices at Extremely High Ambient Temperatures

TL;DR: In this article, the capability of SiC power semiconductor devices, in particular JFET and Schottky barrier diodes (SBDs), for application in high-temperature power electronics was evaluated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Magnetic resonance-guided focused ultrasound surgery for uterine fibroids: relationship between the therapeutic effects and signal intensity of preexisting T2-weighted magnetic resonance images.

TL;DR: The efficacy of MRgFUS correlates with the signal intensity of T2-weighted magnetic resonance images, and type 1 and type 2 fibroids are suitable candidates for MRGFUS, whereas type 3 fibroIDS are not.
Journal ArticleDOI

Economic and Efficient Voltage Management Using Customer-Owned Energy Storage Systems in a Distribution Network With High Penetration of Photovoltaic Systems

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a concept that solves the voltage fluctuation problem in distribution networks with high penetration of PV systems by using customer-side energy storage systems, where the distribution network operator (DNO) is allowed to control the output of the energy storage system of customers during a specific time period in exchange for a subsidy covering a portion of the initial cost of the storage system.
Journal ArticleDOI

Measuring Terminal Capacitance and Its Voltage Dependency for High-Voltage Power Devices

TL;DR: In this article, the authors developed a C -V characterization system for high-voltage power transistors (e.g., MOSFET, insulated gate bipolar transistor, and JFET), which realizes the selective measurement of a specified capacitance from among several capacitances integrated in one device.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mid-term outcome of magnetic resonance-guided focused ultrasound surgery for uterine myomas: from six to twelve months after volume reduction.

TL;DR: Type 3 myomas should be exempted from the application of MRgFUS, because the nonperfused ratio immediately after the procedure was small compared with that in type 1 and type 2 myomas, and the subsequent volume change was unfavorable.
