Journal ArticleDOI

Increased inorganic aerosol fraction contributes to air pollution and haze in China

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the formation mechanism of an increased number of haze-related events in China and found that reduced surface visibility from 1980 to 2010 and an increase in satellite-derived columnar concentrations of inorganic precursors from 2002 to 2012 are connected with each other.
Journal ArticleDOI

Anthropogenic and biogenic influence on VOC fluxes at an urban background site in Helsinki, Finland

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors measured volatile organic compounds (VOCs), carbon dioxide (CO2) and carbon monoxide (CO) at an urban background site near the city centre of Helsinki, Finland, northern Europe.
Journal ArticleDOI

Aliphatic and aromatic amines in atmospheric aerosol particles: comparison of three ionization techniques in liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry and method development.

TL;DR: From three different ionization techniques studied electrospray ionization was superior in terms of sensitivity, linearity, repeatability and reproducibility over atmospheric pressure chemical ionization and photoionization for the target analytes.
