Ion Mobility-Mass Spectrometry of Iodine Pentoxide–Iodic Acid Hybrid Cluster Anions in Dry and Humidified Atmospheres

TL;DR: It is shown that (I2O5) x(HIO3) y(IOα)- clusters are relatively stable against dissociation during mass spectrometric measurement, as compared to other clusters observed in nucleation events over continental sites, and that at atmospherically relevant relative humidity levels clusters can become sufficiently hydrated to facilitate complete conversion of iodine pentoxide to iodic acid.

Spatial-temporal variations of particle number concentrations between a busy street and the urban background

TL;DR: In this article, the authors measured particle total number concentrations (PNC) continuously in a busy street and an urban background site for six months, using condensation particle counters (CPC), and evaluated the effects of temperature, wind speed and wind direction on PNC, as well as the correlation between PNC and PM2.5, PM10 and black carbon (BC).
