Journal ArticleDOI

A new radical scavenging anthracene glycoside, asperflavin ribofuranoside, and polyketides from a marine isolate of the fungus Microsporum

TL;DR: A new anthracene glycoside, asperflavin ribofuranoside, and the previously described polyketides, flavoglaucin, isodihydroauroglauc in, and citrinin have been isolated from the marine-derived fungus Microsporum sp.
Journal ArticleDOI

Syntheses and reactivities of stable halosilylenoids, (Tsi)X2SiLi (Tsi=C(SiMe3)3, X=Br, Cl).

TL;DR: In the reaction of bromosilylenoid with methanol, 2-propanol, and 2,3-dimethyl-1, 3-butadiene, the corresponding products, (Tsi)HSi(OMe)(2), (TSI) HSi(OiPr)Br, and bromo(Tsi)-silacyclopent-3-ene were obtained in high yields; this demonstrates its amphiphilic property, as if
Journal ArticleDOI

Myrothenones A and B, cyclopentenone derivatives with tyrosinase inhibitory activity from the marine-derived fungus Myrothecium sp.

TL;DR: New 3-amino-5-ethenylcyclopentenones, myrothenones A and B, were isolated together with known 6-n-pentyl-alpha-pyrone, which exhibited a tyrosinase inhibitory activity more active than kojic acid currently being used as a functional personal-care compound.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dehydroxychlorofusarielin B, an antibacterial polyoxygenated decalin derivative from the marine-derived fungus Aspergillus sp.

TL;DR: A new antibacterial polyoxygenated decalin derivative and the previously described fusarielins A and B have been isolated from the broth of a marine isolate of the fungus Aspergillus, and exhibited a mild antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus, methicillin-resistant S. a Aureus, and multidrug- resistant S.Aureus.
