TL;DR: A novel, floating wiper, inductive voltage divider (IVD) type displacement transducer is presented here, which provides an output that is proportional to the displacement (can be linear or angular) of the wiper.
Abstract: A novel, floating wiper, inductive voltage divider (IVD) type displacement transducer is presented here. A self balancing signal conditioning circuit, proposed herein, operates on an IVD with a floating wiper and provides an output that is proportional to the displacement (can be linear or angular) of the wiper. The output is made independent of the coupling capacitor that would arise due to the air gap between the inductive element and the floating wiper. Thus the output of the proffered transducer is unaffected by any jitter that may occur and alter the distance between the wiper and the IVD. The workability of the proposed transducer is extensively verified through simulation studies.

TL;DR: In this paper, a sensitive rapid gas chromatography with mass spectrometry (GC-MS) method has been developed and validated for the determination of 1-Bromopropane content in Divalproex sodium drug substance.
Abstract: A sensitive rapid Gas Chromatography with mass spectrometry (GC-MS) method has been developed and validated for the determination of 1-Bromopropane content in Divalproex sodium drug substance. 1-Bromopropane has been considered as a potential genotoxic impurity. The lower level of detection was achieved on fused silica capillary column coated with 100% dimethylpolysiloxane stationary phase with Electron Impact ionization (EI) in Selective Ion Monitoring (SIM) mode. GC runtime was 25min employing programmed temperature with split mode using head-space injection technique. The developed method was validated for specificity, linearity, accuracy and precision. The detection and quantitation limits of 1-Bromopropane obtained were 0.05 μg/g and 0.10 μg/g respectively. The method was found to be linear in the range between 0.10 μg/g and 0.75 μg/g with correlation coefficient 0.9999. The average recovery obtained in Divalproex sodium drug substance was 97.3%. The developed method was found to be rugged for the determination of 1-Bromopropane in divalproex sodium drug substance. The detailed approach of experiments is discussed in the paper

TL;DR: Using the proposed analytical model, a method of estimation of the concentration of hemoglobin in arterial blood is derived and the results of the clinical study establish the viability of measuring hemoglobin concentration, noninvasively, using magnetic plethysmogram.
Abstract: A method for determining the concentration of hemoglobin in arterial blood, non invasively, is explored in this paper. A permanent magnet is placed just above the radial artery of a person whose hemoglobin concentration is to be ascertained. The flux produced by the permanent magnet (that links with the blood flow in the radial artery) is sensed to obtain a signal called magnetic plethysmogram (MPG). In this paper, an analytical model for a magnetic plethysmogram is derived. Using the proposed analytical model, a method of estimation of the concentration of hemoglobin in arterial blood is derived. The proposed method is then validated through a limited clinical study. The results of the clinical study establish the viability of measuring hemoglobin concentration, noninvasively, using magnetic plethysmogram.
