Journal ArticleDOI
Anodic spark deposition of P, Me(II) or Me(III) containing coatings on aluminium and titanium alloys in electrolytes with polyphosphate complexes
TL;DR: In this paper, the correlation between the molar ratio n=[polyphosphate]/[metal cation] in aqueous electrolyte and the growth parameters, composition and surface distribution of elements of anodic coatings on aluminium and titanium alloys was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Surface morphology, composition and thermal behavior of tungsten-containing anodic spark coatings on aluminium alloy
I. V. Lukiyanchuk,V. S. Rudnev,Valery G. Kuryavyi,D. L. Boguta,S. B. Bulanova,P. S. Gordienko +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, anodic spark coatings on aluminium alloy were prepared in aqueous electrolytes with sodium tungstate, and the influence of boric acid addition in the electrolyte on the surface morphology, elemental and phase composition of the coatings was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Plasma electrolytic oxide layers as promising systems for catalysis
TL;DR: In this article, various approaches for obtaining the metal-supported PEO layers with a developed surface are discussed, including pre-etching the metal surfaces, using the electrolytes in which linear discharges are realized under certain conditions of PEO processing, and applying the electrolyte with isopoly and heteropoly anions in which islet growth of coral-like structures is possible.
Journal ArticleDOI
Multiphase anodic layers and prospects of their application
TL;DR: In this article, the multiphase layers on valve metals by the plasma-electrochemical oxidation and deposition from aqueous electrolytes containing polyphosphate and fluoride metal complexes, iso-and heteropolyoxoanions, as well as electrolytes evolving solid precipitates are summarized.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cobalt-containing oxide layers on titanium, their composition, morphology, and catalytic activity in CO oxidation
TL;DR: In this article, the surface structures of cobalt-containing coatings obtained by the PEO method and by impregnation and annealing differ in both quantitative and qualitative relation.
