TL;DR: In this article, a Schiff base 2-[(4Methyl-2-oxo-2H-chromen-7-yl)oxy]-N'-substitutedmethylene)aceto hydrazides (4a-p) were synthesized by the condensation of aryl/hetero aromatic aldehydes with 2 [(4methyl-2.oxo]-2.7-oxy]-acetohydrazide under conventional and microwave conditions and characterized through IR, H NMR and Mass spectral data.
Abstract: New Schiff base 2-[(4-Methyl-2-oxo-2H-chromen-7-yl)oxy]-N'-(substitutedmethylene)aceto hydrazides (4a-p) were synthesized by the condensation of aryl/hetero aromatic aldehydes with 2-[(4-methyl-2-oxo-2H-chromen-7-yl)oxy]acetohydrazide under conventional and microwave conditions and characterized through IR, H NMR and Mass spectral data. The synthesized compounds have been screened for antimicrobial activity.

TL;DR: The study shows that ethanolic and dichloromethane leaf extracts of A. indica can be used as a potential source of antimicrobial agents.
Abstract: The present study was carried out to screen and evaluate antimicrobial activity of leaf extracts of Azadirachta indica A. Juss. Petroleum ether, dichloromethane, chloroform, ethanol and aqueous extract of leaves of A. indica were tested against selected Gram positive and Gram negative bacterial species. Phytochemical leaf extracts of A. indica exhibited significant anti-bacterial activity against all the test microorganisms. However, inhibitory activities of the leaf extracts were both organism and solvent dependent. The leaf extracts limited the growth of both Grampositive and Gram-negative bacterial species tested. Among the different extracted used in the study, ethanolic and dichloromethane leaf extracts of A. indica were found to be more active towards the bacterial species used in the study. Further, the aqueous leaf extract was moderately active. However, petroleum ether and chloroform extracts were not effective against any of the organisms tested, but for Bacillus cereus where the chloroform extract was moderately active. Growth of Lactobacillus bulgaris was not inhibited by any of the tested leaf extracts of A. indica but for dichloromethane. The study shows that ethanolic and dichloromethane leaf extracts of A. indica can be used as a potential source of antimicrobial agents.

TL;DR: The different synthesis methods and the pharmacological properties of pyrazole derivatives developed by many scientists around the globe are highlighted.
Abstract: Pyrazole and its derivatives are considered a pharmacologically important active scaffold that possesses almost all types of pharmacological activities. The presence of this nucleus in pharmacological agents of diverse therapeutic categories such as celecoxib, a potent anti-inflammatory, the antipsychotic CDPPB, the anti-obesity drug rimonabant, difenamizole, an analgesic, betazole, a H2-receptor agonist and the antidepressant agent fezolamide have proved the pharmacological potential of the pyrazole moiety. Owing to this diversity in the biological field, this nucleus has attracted the attention of many researchers to study its skeleton chemically and biologically. This review highlights the different synthesis methods and the pharmacological properties of pyrazole derivatives. Studies on the synthesis and biological activity of pyrazole derivatives developed by many scientists around the globe are reported.
