Molecular characterization of vulnibactin biosynthesis in Vibrio vulnificus indicates the existence of an alternative siderophore
Wenzhi Tan,Vivek Verma,Kwangjoon Jeong,Soo Young Kim,Che-Hun Jung,Shee Eun Lee,Joon Haeng Rhee +6 more
TL;DR: It is confirmed that vulnibactin is assembled of both 2, 3-DHBA and SA, and conversion of SA to 2, 4-dihydroxybenzoic acid in presence of hydrogen peroxide and growth profile of AMP ligase mutants suggest a plausible existence of yet unidentified alternative siderophore that may be composed solely of 2,3-DH BA.
Journal ArticleDOI
PD-1 blockade in subprimed CD8 cells induces dysfunctional PD-1+CD38hi cells and anti-PD-1 resistance.
Vivek Verma,Vivek Verma,Rajeev K Shrimali,Rajeev K Shrimali,Shamim Ahmad,Winjie Dai,Hua Wang,Sumin Lu,Rahul Nandre,Rahul Nandre,Pankaj Gaur,Pankaj Gaur,José A. López,Moshe Sade-Feldman,Moshe Sade-Feldman,Keren Yizhak,Stacey L. Bjorgaard,Stacey L. Bjorgaard,Keith T. Flaherty,Jennifer A. Wargo,Genevieve M. Boland,Ryan J. Sullivan,Gad Getz,Gad Getz,Scott A. TL;DR: It is demonstrated that PD-1 blockade in the context of suboptimal T cell activation engenders a state of non-responsiveness but not when there is strong stimulation by vaccination, which can enhance antitumor responses in a subset of cases.
Journal ArticleDOI
Concurrent PD-1 Blockade Negates the Effects of OX40 Agonist Antibody in Combination Immunotherapy through Inducing T-cell Apoptosis
Rajeev K. Shrimali,Shamim Ahmad,Vivek Verma,Peng Zeng,Sudha Ananth,Pankaj Gaur,Rachel M. Gittelman,Erik Yusko,Catherine Sanders,Harlan Robins,Scott A. Hammond,John Edward Janik,Mikayel Mkrtichyan,Seema Gupta,Samir N. Khleif +14 more
TL;DR: Results indicate that anti–PD-1 added at the initiation of therapy exhibits a detrimental effect on the positive outcome of anti-OX40 agonist Ab, demonstrating the need to test treatment combination and sequencing before moving to the clinic.
Journal ArticleDOI
Characterization of a T7-Like Lytic Bacteriophage of Klebsiella pneumoniae B5055: A Potential Therapeutic Agent
TL;DR: The use of this characterized phage, KPO1K2, as a prophylactic/therapeutic agent especially for the treatment of catheter associated UTI caused by Klebsiella pneumoniae is proposed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Amoxicillin and specific bacteriophage can be used together for eradication of biofilm of Klebsiella pneumoniae B5055
TL;DR: When antibiotic was used in combination with specific bacteriophage a greater destruction of the biofilm structure suggested that the phages could be used successfully along with antibiotic therapy.
