TL;DR: The muon-spin-relaxation rate sigma has been measured in sixteen specimens of high-T/ sub c/ cuprate superconductors and a universal linear relation between T/sub c/ and sigma(T..-->..0)proportionaln/sub s//m/sup */ has been found with increasing carrier doping.
Journal ArticleDOI
Systematic variation of magnetic-field penetration depth in high- T c superconductors studied by muon-spin relaxation
Yasutomo J. Uemura,V. J. Emery,A. R. Moodenbaugh,Masaki Suenaga,David C. Johnston,Allan J. Jacobson,J. T. Lewandowski,Jess H. Brewer,Robert F. Kiefl,S. R. Kreitzman,Graeme Luke,T. M. Riseman,C. E. Stronach,W. J. Kossler,J. R. Kempton,X. H. Yu,D. Opie,H.E. Schone +17 more
TL;DR: The linear dependence of the transition temperature, the magnetic-field penetration depth, the carrier concentration, and the effective mass of the muon-spin relaxation rate suggest a high-energy scale for the coupling between superconducting carriers.
Journal ArticleDOI
Coexisting static magnetic order and superconductivity in CeCu 2.1 Si 2 found by muon spin relaxation
Yasutomo J. Uemura,W. J. Kossler,X. H. Yu,H. E. Schone,J. R. Kempton,C. E. Stronach,S. Barth,F. N. Gygax,B. Hitti,A. Schenck,C. Baines,W. F. Lankford,Yoshichika Ōnuki,Tetsuro Komatsubara +13 more
TL;DR: The line shapes of the observed muon spin depolarization functions suggest an ordering in either the spin-glass or incommensurate spin-density-wave states, with a small averaged static moment of the order of 0.1..mu../sub B/ per formula unit at T..-->..0.0.
Journal ArticleDOI
Muon-spin-rotation study of magnetism in La1.85Sr0.15CuO4 and YBa2Cu3Ox below 90 mK.
R. F. Kiefl,J. H. Brewer,J. F. Carolan,Pinder Dosanjh,Walter Hardy,Ryosuke Kadono,J. R. Kempton,R. Krahn,P. Schleger,B.X. Yang,H. Zhou,Graeme Luke,B. J. Sternlieb,Yasutomo J. Uemura,W. J. Kossler,X. H. Yu,Eduardo J. Ansaldo,H. Takagi,S. Uchida,C. L. Seaman +19 more
TL;DR: In this article, the static internal magnetic field at the muon site due to magnetic ordering remains constant with increasing x up until x =6.30 and then rapidly approaches zero just above x=6.44.
Journal ArticleDOI
Precession of Positive Muons in Nickel and Iron
TL;DR: In this article, the magnetic fields at the site of the muons, the initial polarization, and the depolarization time constant were obtained from 300 to 700 ε, i.e., through the Curie temperature of Ni.
