Journal ArticleDOI

Recent progress in the synthesis of graphene and derived materials for next generation electrodes of high performance lithium ion batteries

TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined the recent progress and some of the challenges in the syntheses and modification of graphene-based materials, including energy storage applications as electrodes in Li-ion batteries (LIBs).
Journal ArticleDOI

Heteroatom doped graphene engineering for energy storage and conversion

TL;DR: In this article, the most recent research works on the synthesis of heteroatom-doped graphene materials such as reduced graphene oxide, graphene oxide and graphene nanoribbons are surveyed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Recent progress on carbon-based composite materials for microwave electromagnetic interference shielding

TL;DR: In this article, the authors have systematically summarized the recent research on materials designed for microwave/radio wave absorption and EMI shielding, including carbon-based nanostructured materials, various kinds of polymers, layered inorganic materials and their composite hybrids.
Journal ArticleDOI

Microwave-assisted thin reduced graphene oxide-cobalt oxide nanoparticles as hybrids for electrode materials in supercapacitor

TL;DR: In this article, reduced graphene oxide containing cobalt oxide (rGO@Co3O4/CoO) hybrid was synthesized via single-step microwave irradiation in which the uniform Co3O 4 /CoO nanoparticles were attached in thin layers of rGO nanosheets.
