Abstract: The information of construction project is managed by traditional handiwork method in most construction projects in China.Information creation,information disposal,information transfer,information storage and information searching during the process of information management based on PIP have been compared with those in the traditional way from many aspects in this paper.It is concluded that information management based on PIP has many advantages that are advanced sharing method,convenient disposal,fast transfer,decreasing the time of searching information,less space for store and saving cost.

Information management system copies with complex information to identify and summarize the different categories then issues for works to provide accurate and timely information to achieve objectives of project management.
