Study of microelectronics for detecting and stimulating of central neural signals

TL;DR: In this paper, a test circuit for the signal detection and function electrical stimulation (FES) of neurons has been designed, implemented at first by using discrete devices and characterized off-body.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Optimized design for high-speed parallel BCH encoder

TL;DR: A parallel BCH (2184, 2040) encoder with 8-bit parallelism is realized in TSMC's 0.18 /spl mu/m CMOS technology for high-speed optical communication that can operate at 400 MHz and process data at the rate of 2.5 Gb/s.
Journal ArticleDOI

A High Performance Silicon-on-Insulator LDMOSTT Using Linearly Increasing Thickness Techniques

TL;DR: In this article, a drift region thickness from the source to the drain is employed to improve the electric field distribution in the lateral double-diffused metaloxide-semiconductor transistors fabricated on silicon-on-insulator substrates.
Journal ArticleDOI

Design and analysis of a three-stage voltage-controlled ring oscillator

TL;DR: In this paper, a ring oscillator based on a different cascade voltage logic delay cell with current-source load to change the current of output node was proposed, and the measurement results show that the oscillator frequency of the ring VCO is from 0.770 to 5.286 GHz and the phase noise is 97.93 dBc/Hz at an offset of 1 MHz from 5.268 GHz with a total power of 15.1 mW from a 1.8 V supply while occupying only 0.00175 mm2 of the core die area.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

A wide tuning range LC-VCO using switched capacitor array technique

TL;DR: In this article, a 2.4GHz low phase noise CMOS LC voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) is presented, which achieves a tuning range of 51.7% from 1.70GHz to 2.94GHz.
