Interworking of DSRC and Cellular Network Technologies for V2X Communications: A Survey
TL;DR: A survey of potential DSRC and cellular interworking solutions for efficient V2X communications, together with the main interworking challenges resulting from vehicle mobility, such as vertical handover and network selection issues.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hybrid TDOA/AOA mobile user location for wideband CDMA cellular systems
Li Cong,Weihua Zhuang +1 more
TL;DR: Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed hybrid TDOA/AOA location scheme gives a much higher location accuracy than TDOA only location, when the number of base stations is small and/or when the TDOA measurements have a relatively poor accuracy.
Journal ArticleDOI
VeMAC: A TDMA-Based MAC Protocol for Reliable Broadcast in VANETs
TL;DR: It is shown that, due to its ability to decrease the rate of transmission collisions, the VeMAC protocol can provide significantly higher throughput on the control channel than ADHOC MAC, an existing TDMA MAC protocol for VANETs.
Journal ArticleDOI
Learning-Based Computation Offloading for IoT Devices With Energy Harvesting
TL;DR: A reinforcement learning (RL) based offloading scheme for an IoT device with EH to select the edge device and the offloading rate according to the current battery level, the previous radio transmission rate to each edge device, and the predicted amount of the harvested energy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Software Defined Space-Air-Ground Integrated Vehicular Networks: Challenges and Solutions
TL;DR: A software defined spaceair- ground integrated network architecture for supporting diverse vehicular services in a seamless, efficient, and cost-effective manner is proposed.
