Journal ArticleDOI
Beclin-1-mediated autophagy protects spinal cord neurons against mechanical injury-induced apoptosis
TL;DR: Results suggest that autophagy may serve as a protection against apoptosis in mechanically-injured spinal cord neurons and targeting mTOR and/or enhancing Beclin-1 expression might be alternative therapeutic strategies for SCI.
Journal ArticleDOI
Neuroprotective effects of autophagy induced by rapamycin in rat acute spinal cord injury model.
TL;DR: The results indicate that rapamycin significantly improved the prognosis of acute SCI in rats by inhibiting cell apoptosis, suggesting it might be useful as a therapeutic agent for acuteSCI.
Journal ArticleDOI
An injectable and photocurable methacrylate-silk fibroin hydrogel loaded with bFGF for spinal cord regeneration
Linquan Zhou,Zhenyu Wang,Dehui Chen,Jiemin Lin,Wenwen Li,Sheng Guo,Rongcan Wu,Xin Zhao,Taotao Lin,Gang Chen,Wen-Ge Liu +10 more
TL;DR: In this article , a photocurable Silk Fibroin (SilMA) hydrogel was applied to spinal cord injury and the results showed that SilMA@bFGF can release bFGF slowly to promote the regeneration of nerve axons, inhibit glial cell proliferation and improve neuronal mitochondrial function.
Journal ArticleDOI
lncRNA MALAT1 promotes osteogenic differentiation through the miR‐217/AKT3 axis: A possible strategy to alleviate osteoporosis
TL;DR: In this article , the authors investigated the effect of metastasis-associated lung adenocarcinoma transcript 1 (MALAT1) on osteogenic differentiation in osteoporosis.
