The association between long-term exposure to low-level PM2.5 and mortality in the state of Queensland, Australia: A modelling study with the difference-in-differences approach.
TL;DR: Long-term exposure to PM2.5 was associated with total, non-accidental, cardiovascular, respiratory, and respiratory mortality in Queensland, Australia, where PM 2.5 levels were measured well below the WHO air quality standard.
Journal ArticleDOI

Abramson,Jonathan M. Samet,Shanshan Li +83 more
TL;DR: In this article, the association between wildfire-related PM2·5 exposure and mortality was examined using a quasi-Poisson time series model in each city considering both the current-day and lag effects, and the effect estimates were then pooled using a random-effects meta-analysis.
Journal ArticleDOI
An economic evaluation for prevention of diabetes mellitus in a developing country: a modelling study.
TL;DR: One-off screening for undiagnosed diabetes and IGT, with appropriate lifestyle interventions for those with IGT are cost saving in China, especially in young adults, and are associated with cost-saving compared with the control group.
Journal ArticleDOI
Socioeconomic disparity in the association between long-term exposure to PM2.5 and mortality in 2640 Chinese counties.
Chunlei Han,Rongbin Xu,Caroline X. Gao,Wenhua Yu,Yajuan Zhang,Kun Han,Pei Yu,Yuming Guo,Shanshan Li +8 more
TL;DR: There was socioeconomic disparity in the PM2.5-mortality association in China and Dwellers living in less developed counties are more vulnerable to long-term exposure to ambient PM3.5 than those living in developed counties.
Journal ArticleDOI
