Continuous estimation of systolic blood pressure using the pulse arrival time and intermittent calibration

TL;DR: The results showed that the correlation coefficients between estimated values and invasively obtained systolic blood pressure reached 0.97±0.02, and the error remained within ±10% in 97.8% of the monitoring period.
Journal ArticleDOI

Real-Time Monitoring of Respiration Rhythm and Pulse Rate During Sleep

TL;DR: This study suggests that the proposed method is promising to be used in a respiration rhythm and pulse rate monitor for real-time monitoring of sleep-related diseases during sleep.
Journal ArticleDOI

Development of a new method for the noninvasive measurement of deep body temperature without a heater.

TL;DR: The results show that the new dual-heat-flux method developed can be used for monitoring the deep body temperature as accurately as the conventional method, and it overcomes the disadvantage of the necessity of AC power supply.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Chair–Based Unobtrusive Cuffless Blood Pressure Monitoring System Based on Pulse Arrival Time

TL;DR: The proposed system consists of an electrocardiograph, a photoplethysmograph, and a control circuit with a Bluetooth module, all of which are mounted on a common armchair to measure ECG and PPG signals from users while sitting on the armchair in order to calculate continuous PAT.
Journal ArticleDOI

Community Structures of Coral Reefs around Peninsular Malaysia

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the coral community structures at eleven fringing reef sites along the coast of Peninsular Malaysia and estimated the coverage of coral communities by applying quantitative digital image analysis to the line transect method.
