Aerosol and monsoon climate interactions over Asia

TL;DR: A comprehensive review of studies on Asian aerosols, monsoons, and their interactions is provided in this article, where a new paradigm is proposed on investigating aerosol-monsoon interactions, in which natural aerosols such as desert dust, black carbon from biomass burning, and biogenic aerosols from vegetation are considered integral components of an intrinsic aerosolmonsoon climate system, subject to external forcing of global warming, anthropogenic aerosol, and land use and change.
Journal ArticleDOI

Column aerosol optical properties and aerosol radiative forcing during a serious haze-fog month over North China Plain in 2013 based on ground-based sunphotometer measurements

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used Cimel sunphotometer measurements at seven sites over rural, suburban and urban regions of North China Plain from 1 to 30 January 2013 were used to further understand of spatial-temporal variation of aerosol optical parameters and aerosol radiative forcing (ARF).
Journal ArticleDOI

Baseline Surface Radiation Network (BSRN): structure and data description (1992-2017)

TL;DR: The Baseline Surface Radiation Network (BSRN) as mentioned in this paper collects and centrally archives high-quality ground-based radiation measurements in 1'min resolution, which is the basis for the World Radiation Monitoring Center (WRMC) database.
