Journal ArticleDOI
Viral load dynamics and disease severity in patients infected with SARS-CoV-2 in Zhejiang province, China, January-March 2020: retrospective cohort study.
Shufa Zheng,Jian Fan,Fei Yu,Baihuan Feng,Bin Lou,Qianda Zou,Guoliang Xie,Sha Lin,Ruonan Wang,Xianzhi Yang,Weizhen Chen,Qi Wang,Dan Feng Zhang,Yanchao Liu,Renjie Gong,Zhaohui Ma,Siming Lu,Yanyan Xiao,Yaxi Gu,Jinming Zhang,Hangping Yao,Kaijin Xu,Xiaoyang Lu,Guoqing Wei,Jianying Zhou,Qiang Fang,Hongliu Cai,Yunqing Qiu,Jifang Sheng,Yu Chen,Tingbo Liang +30 more
TL;DR: The duration of SARS-CoV-2 is significantly longer in stool samples than in respiratory and serum samples, highlighting the need to strengthen the management of stool samples in the prevention and control of the epidemic, and the virus persists longer with higher load and peaks later in the respiratory tissue of patients with severe disease.
Journal ArticleDOI
Preparation, characterization and immunomodulatory activity of selenium-enriched exopolysaccharide produced by bacterium Enterobacter cloacae Z0206
TL;DR: Findings indicated that Se-ECZ-EPS-1 may act as potent immunomodulatory agents as well as tolerant-selenium exopolysaccharide-producing bacterial strain Enterobacter cloacae Z0206.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of telbivudine therapy on the cellular immune response in chronic hepatitis B
TL;DR: Effective-treated patients showed an increased frequency of peripheral blood CD4(+)T lymphocytes, an augmented proliferative response of HBV-specific T-cells to the hepatitis B core antigen (HBcAg), and the induction of cytokines, such as interferon gamma (IFN-γ), tumour necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α) release at the site of infection compared to non-responsive patients.
Journal ArticleDOI
Benefit of Early Initiation of Neuraminidase Inhibitor Treatment to Hospitalized Patients With Avian Influenza A(H7N9) Virus
Shufa Zheng,Lingling Tang,Hainv Gao,Yiyin Wang,Fei Yu,Dawei Cui,Guoliang Xie,Xianzhi Yang,Wen Zhang,Xianfei Ye,Zi-Ke Zhang,Xi Wang,Liang Yu,Yiming Zhang,Shigui Yang,Weifeng Liang,Yu Chen,Lanjuan Li +17 more
TL;DR: Early NAI therapy within 2 days of illness shortened the duration of viral shedding and improved survival in patients with H7N9 viral infection.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hock-a-loogie saliva as a diagnostic specimen for SARS-CoV-2 by a PCR-based assay: A diagnostic validity study.
Jian Fan,Fei Yu,Xiang Wang,Qianda Zou,Bin Lou,Guoliang Xie,Xianzhi Yang,Weizhen Chen,Qi Wang,Dan Zhang,Ruonan Wang,Baihuan Feng,Yuejiao Dong,Li Huang,Yun Teng,Zhenzhen Deng,Ling Yu,Kaijin Xu,Jifang Sheng,Shufa Zheng,Yu Chen +20 more
TL;DR: Hock-a-loogie saliva and sputum are reliable sample types that can be used to detect SARS-CoV-2, and worthy of clinical promotion.
