Journal ArticleDOI
Comparison between cells and cancer stem-like cells isolated from glioblastoma and astrocytoma on expression of anti-apoptotic and multidrug resistance-associated protein genes.
Feng Jin,Lei Zhao,Huan Zhao,S.-G. Guo,Jun Feng,Xiaobing Jiang,Shu-Ling Zhang,Yu-Jia Wei,Rong Fu,Jia-shan Zhao +9 more
TL;DR: It is a rare report that glioma stem-like cells can be induced successfully from a grade 2-3 astrocytoma tissue and the expression of anti-apoptotic and MRP genes shows no differences between the CSCs isolated from glioblastoma and astroCytoma tissues.
Journal ArticleDOI
A COVID-19 Patient Who Underwent Endonasal Endoscopic Pituitary Adenoma Resection: A Case Report.
TL;DR: The COVID-19 epidemic among medical staff in the authors' department was deemed as postoperative rather than intraoperative transmission, and attributed to not applying sufficient personal airway protection, and contributed to limiting epidemic since the initial outbreak.
Journal ArticleDOI
Influence of Etoposide on anti-apoptotic and multidrug resistance-associated protein genes in CD133 positive U251 glioblastoma stem-like cells.
Feng Jin,Lei Zhao,Yuan-Jin Guo,Wan-ju Zhao,Hao Zhang,Hai-Tao Wang,Tong Shao,Shu-Ling Zhang,Yu-Jia Wei,Jun Feng,Xiaobing Jiang,Hongyang Zhao +11 more
TL;DR: After Etoposide intervention glioblastoma stem-like cells showed a stronger resistance to apoptosis and death, and the anti-apoptotic gene livinbeta was more related with the high survival rate and MRP1 appeared to be more related than usual with transporting chemotherapeutics out of gliobeasts.
Journal ArticleDOI
Current status and potential challenges of mesenchymal stem cell-based therapy for malignant gliomas.
Qing Zhang,Wei Xiang,Dong-Ye Yi,Bing-Zhou Xue,Wan-wan Wen,Ahmed Hosni Abdelmaksoud,Nanxiang Xiong,Xiaobing Jiang,Hongyang Zhao,Peng Fu +9 more
TL;DR: The biological characteristics of human mesenchymal stem cells, and the current status and potential challenges of mesenchyal stem cell-based therapy in patients with malignant gliomas are summarized.
Journal ArticleDOI
MiR-338-5p suppresses proliferation, migration, invasion, and promote apoptosis of glioblastoma cells by directly targeting EFEMP1.
TL;DR: MiR-338-5p suppressed proliferation, migration and invasion of GBM cells through inhibiting EFEMP1.
