Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make compact and silent an outdoor machine for an air conditioner which uses the air blowing-out surface of an axial fan installed to the upper section of an enclosure as its upper surface by providing a corner guide to at least one of the void sections in the corner sections formed of the front-face plate, roof plate, and one side-face plate which is adjacent to the front-face plate SOLUTION: A top-flow type outdoor machine 1 is provided with air supplying openings on its side-face sides and a heat exchanger 8 on its back side The machine 1 is also provided with a compressor 9, an accumulator 10, an axial fan, a bell mouth 12, etc, and a heat-exchanged wind exhausted front the fan 11 is discharged upward after passing through an exhaust pipe 7 and a guard net 16 In the machine 1, a corner guide 18a is provided to the void of each corner section formed of the front-face plate 2, side-face plate, roof plate 6, and bell mouth of the machine 1 Therefore, the outdoor machine 1 can be operated silently, because the heat-exchanged wind sucked from the heat exchanger 8 is prevented front staying in the voids of the corner sections and, at the same time, the efficiency deterioration of the fan 11 caused by uneven flows in the circumferential direction can be suppressed

TL;DR: In this article, the speed distribution of air impeller output so as to reduce blast noise without cost increase by making the rate of local pressure rise at the impeller outlet large on the shroud side.
Abstract: PURPOSE:To uniform the speed distribution of air impeller output so as to reduce blast noise without cost increase by making the rate of local pressure rise at the impeller outlet large on the shroud side. CONSTITUTION:A turbo fan includes an impeller formed of an approximately disc like boss 3 provided with a motor driving shaft fitting hole, an annular hub 4 extended at the outer periphery of the boss 3, blades 5 planted on one face of the boss 3 spirally around the hole, and a shroud 6 opposed to the boss 3 with the blades placed in between. From a center axis to a specified distance R position, the cross section of the blade 5 on the plane vertical to the center axis is placed forward in the rotating direction as it approaches the center part of the impeller and shows spiral shape proceeding to the center axis almost from the outer peripheral part of the impeller, and a part close to the outer periphery of the impeller from the specified distance R position is bent so as to vertically approach the outer peripheral edge of the impeller. Accordingly, the outlet pressure of air flow rises locally so as to obtain the large air quantity.

TL;DR: In this paper, the shape of the main and auxiliary vanes is determined so that the main vane 2 and the auxiliary vane 4 are axially passed through respective trimming dies used in the manufacture of the vanes.
Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a thinned, noise-reduced centrifugal fan at reduced cost that provides a large quantity of air, for use in an air conditioner, air-cooled electronic equipment or an electric motor. CONSTITUTION: The bore of a side plate 3 is smaller than the outside diameter of a core plate 1 and a plurality of main vanes 2 are disposed at almost equal intervals on the core plate 1 and a plurality of auxiliary vanes 4 are mounted at almost equal intervals on that side of the side plate 3 which is opposite to the main vanes 2. The shapes of the main vane 2 and the auxiliary vane 4 are determined so that the main vane 2 and the auxiliary vane 4 are axially passed through respective trimming dies used in the manufacture of the main and auxiliary vanes. Therefore the centrifugal fan can provide low noise, high pressure and a large quantity of air as compared to conventional centrifugal and propeller fans and can be integrally molded and is therefore available at reduced cost. TL;DR: In this paper, an angle between a tangent of a pressure surface of a vane and the radial direction at a position, in which a shroud side A-A cross section and a boss side B-B cross-section and a cylindrical surface at an optional radius (r) from the center of rotation intersect each other, is set nearly equal to each other.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformize the distribution of speeds by inclining a line of intersection of a cylindrical surface around the center of an impeller and a pressure surface (negative pressure surface) of a vane in relation to a rotary shaft, and forming an angle between the pressure surface (negative pressure surface) of the vane and the radial direction in the line of intersection nearly equal over the whole in the height direction. SOLUTION: In a blower, in which a suction guide 9 is inserted into a suction part of an impeller 5 and the impeller 5 is driven for rotation by a motor 4, an angle between a tangent of a pressure surface of a vane and the radial direction at a position, in which a shroud side A-A cross section and a boss side B-B cross section and a cylindrical surface at an optional radius (r) from the center of rotation intersect each other, is set nearly equal to each other in a cylindrical surface having a radius (r). An E-E cross section of the vane in the cylindrical surface having the radius (r) is set at a nearly constant angle of inclination in relation to a rotary shaft of the impeller. With this structure, peeling of a flow at a vane inlet shroud side is restrained by the rotation of the impeller 5, and the distribution of speed is uniformized so as to improve the performance and lower the generation of noise.
