Synthesis of Isocoumarins from Cyclic 2-Diazo-1,3-diketones and Benzoic Acids via Rh(III)-Catalyzed C-H Activation and Esterification.

TL;DR: A mild and efficient Rh(III)-catalyzed C-H activation/esterification reaction for the synthesis of isocoumarins has been developed and provides a facile approach for the construction ofIsocou marins containing various functional groups that does not require any additives.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis of coumarin-3-carboxylic esters via FeCl3-catalyzed multicomponent reaction of salicylaldehydes, Meldrum's acid and alcohols

TL;DR: A FeCl3-catalyzed multicomponent reaction was developed for the facile synthesis of coumarin-3-carboxylic ester derivatives in a highly atom-economic and environmentally friendly way as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

FeCl3-Catalyzed Four-Component Nucleophilic Addition/Intermolecular Cyclization Yielding Polysubstituted Pyridine Derivatives

TL;DR: An efficient route to pyridine derivatives via an FeCl3-catalyzed four-component nucleophilic addition/intermolecular cyclization is reported, affording a broad range of polysubstituted pyridines in moderate to good yield from simple and readily available starting materials.
Journal ArticleDOI

Copper-Catalyzed Multicomponent Reaction: Synthesis of 4-Arylsulfonylimino-4,5-dihydrofuran Derivatives

TL;DR: A series of 4-arylsulfonylimino-4,5-dihydrofurans were efficiently synthesized in good to excellent yields by using the copper-catalyzed three-component reaction between sulfonyl azides, phenylacetylene, and beta-ketoesters in tetrahydro Furan at 40 degrees C for 8 h in the presence of triethylamine (TEA).
Journal ArticleDOI

Copper-Catalyzed Efficient Multicomponent Reaction: Synthesis of Benzoxazoline-Amidine Derivatives

TL;DR: In this article, an efficient copper-catalyzed method for the synthesis of benzoxazoline-amidine derivatives was developed, using inexpensive copper(I) iodide as the catalyst, and furnished the expected product in good to excellent yields by a three-component reaction of sulfonyl azides, terminal alkynes and Schiffs' bases in terahydrofuran (THF) at room temperature for 8 h in the presence of triethylamine.
