Abstract: The selection of logistics supplier is an important link in supply chain management, while the assessment of capacity of logistics supplier help client select logistics supplier in a better way. In view of the assessment and selection, this article proposes supplier assessment and selection based on support vector machine in special connection with small sample event, which realizes the unification of assessment factors and results, improves the precision of selection and provides an effective method for the assessment of the capacity logistics supplier.

Abstract: This paper first expounds the meaning and theoretical basis of risk estimation and the possible deviation therein; then educes the process of risk estimation; and finally, based on the analysis on the risk factors of investment in real estate projects, establishes the multi-hierarchy evaluation indicator system and provides the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model.

Abstract: The rapid improvement in the global connectivity standards has escalated the level of trade taking place among different parties. Advanced communication standards are allowing the trade of all types of commodities and services. Furthermore, the goods and services developed in a particular region are transcending boundaries to enter into foreign markets. Supply chains play an essential role in the trade of these goods. To be able to realize a connected world with no boundary restrictions in terms of goods and services, it is imperative to keep the associated supply chains transparent, secure, and trustworthy. Therefore, some fundamental changes in the current supply chain architecture are essential to achieve a secure trade environment. This article discusses the supply chain’s security-critical application areas and presents a detailed survey of the security issues in the existing supply chain architecture. Various emerging technologies, such as blockchain, machine learning (ML), and physically unclonable functions (PUFs) as solutions to the vulnerabilities in the existing infrastructure of the supply chain have also been discussed. Recent studies reviewed in this work reveal a growing sentiment in the industry toward new and emerging technologies, such as Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, and ML. While many organizations have already adopted IoT applications and artificial intelligence systems in their businesses, widespread adoption of blockchain remains distant. It has also been found that over the past decade, PUF-based authentication systems have gained much ground. However, a proper reference model for their implementation in complex supply chains is still missing.

Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to present a framework and a suitable method for selecting the best logistics supplier. In general, many quantitative and qualitative criteria should be considered simultaneously for making the decision of logistics supplier selection. The information about judging the performance of logistics suppliers will come from customers' opinions, experts' opinions and the operational data in the real environment. Under this situation, the selection problem of logistic suppliers will be the uncertainties and fuzziness problems in the decision making process. Therefore, we combined the linguistic PROMETHEE method with maximum deviation method to determine the ranking order of logistics suppliers. And then, an example is implemented to demonstrate the practicability of the proposed method. Finally, some conclusions are discussed at the end of this paper.

Abstract: Investment in the real estate industry is subject to high risk, especially when there are a large number of uncertainty factors in a project. Risk analysis has been widely used to make decisions for real estate investment. Accordingly, risk-based decision making is a vital process that should be considered when a list of projects and constraints are being assessed. This chapter proposes a risk-based decision making (RBDM) framework for risk analysis of investment in the real estate industry, based on a review of the research. The framework comprises the basic concepts, process, sources and factors, techniques/approaches, and issues and challenges of RBDM. The framework can be applied to problem solving different issues involved in the decision making process when risk is a factor. Decision makers need to understand the terms and concepts of their problems and be familiar with the processes involved in decision making. They also need to know the source of their problems and the relevant factors involved before selecting the best and most suitable technique to apply to solve their problems. Furthermore, decision makers need to recognize the issues and challenges related to their problems to mitigate future risk by monitoring and controlling risk sources and factors. This framework provides a comprehensive analysis of risk-based decision making and supports decision makers to enable them to achieve optimal decisions.

Abstract: In order to meet the requirement of evaluating suppliers flexibly in collaboration platform of industrial value chain, this paper establishes a mathematical model for the dynamic evaluation of suppliers and proposes a dynamic evaluation scheme of suppliers for collaboration platform. Based on the XML configurability, the proposed scheme may realize the configurability of dynamic evaluation by establishing an algorithm library of dynamic evaluation. The feasibility and effectiveness of this scheme are verified via its application on the collaboration platform of industrial value chain.
