TL;DR: In this paper, the problem of displaying the TV image on a portable terminal during a TV function is solved by setting a display direction for being displayed in display size and a positive direction of the image to a display processor in response to the rotation angle.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein vertical display and horizontal display of TV image display by a portable terminal is determined during starting a TV function, changeover to the vertical display or the horizontal display is necessary for being changed over by user operation, display changeover operation is troublesome and cannot be automatically changed over during display. SOLUTION: A control unit 3 receives a TV broadcasting signal of a desired channel into a TV tuner 2 by selection of the channel, acquires the rotation angle of the housing of a terminal from a rotation sensor 6 in a state for displaying the TV image onto a display unit 7, and sets a display direction for being displayed in display size and a positive direction of the image to a display processor 5 in response to the rotation angle. Consequently, the display direction and the display size most suitable for the rotation angle of the display unit 7 rotated integrally with the housing can be automatically changed over. The troublesomeness of the changeover of the display direction by the user operation is reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI

TL;DR: In this paper, a code discrimination section 3 discriminates whether or not a specific code is added to the message and a symbol indicating that the message is subject to secret processing is displayed.
Abstract: PURPOSE: To improve the confidentiality of a content of a message when it is received and read. CONSTITUTION: When a message is received by a radio section 2 via an antenna 1, a code discrimination section 3 discriminates whether or not a specific code is added to the message. When the specific code is added, a secret setting release section 5 applies secret processing (replacing the message with other symbol) by a secret setting release section 5 and the message subject to secret processing is displayed on a display section 7. Furthermore, a symbol indicating that the message is subject to secret processing is displayed. In the case of reading the message, the secret is released when a password is coincident through the entry of the password and the message is displayed on the display section 7. TL;DR: In this paper, the authors propose a solution to reduce power consumption for the connection between a communication terminal and a base station by using the acquired positional information and the acquired correspondence information.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily shortena period of time for connecting a communication terminal to a network and to easily reduce power consumption for the connection. SOLUTION: A terminal acquires positional information indicating its existing position from a GPS satellite, determines a range of correspondence information to be acquired out of correspondence information in which positional information indicating a position specified by a longitude and a latitude stored in a server is made to correspond to a frequency to be used on the position based on the acquired positional information, acquires the correspondence information included in the determined range from the server, and specifies a frequency to be used between the terminal and a base station based on the acquired positional information and the acquired correspondence information. TL;DR: In this paper, a musical scale specifying code group of the ring back tones is added to the calling signals in addition to a calling code group and transmitted from the base station, and a melody frequency corresponding to the separated musical scale specifies data is generated, the melody frequency is modulated to a melody and a speaker 8 is rung.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To freely select and generate melody modulated ring back tones by adding a musical scale specifying code to a message code group constituting calling signals along with a calling code group and transmitting it from a base station SOLUTION: The musical scale specifying code group of the ring back tones is added to the calling signals in addition to the calling code group and transmitted from the base station After the calling signals received in a radio part 2 are separated into the calling code group and the message code group in a control part 3, the message code group is separated into message data and musical scale specifying data by using a melody start symbol and a melody end symbol In a melody generation part 4, a melody frequency corresponding to the separated musical scale specifying data is generated, the melody frequency is modulated to a melody and a speaker 8 is rung Ringing at the time of receiving the calling signals is freely set without being fixed to a specified ringing pattern as before

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a communication terminal equipment for protecting the privacy of a user from a third person concerning a mail and the data of the attached file, where data such as an address book are set as the distribution conditions of a secret mail for an electronic mail and an attached file so that they can be automatically stored in a secret file folder and a secret data storage area requiring password authentication.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide communication terminal equipment for protecting the privacy of a user from a third person concerning a mail and the data of the attached file. SOLUTION: In this communication equipment, data such as an address book are set as the distribution conditions of a secret mail for an electronic mail and the attached file so that they can be automatically stored in a secret mail folder and a secret data storage area requiring password authentication. Also, the contents of the mail may be confirmed, and manually distributed by the user. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI

TL;DR: In this article, an operating range is sequentially updated so that a current angle of an image display apparatus may be constantly set within the operating range, preventing occurrence of a problem that displayed data is set unchangeable because of the position of the apparatus, and constantly updating displayed data.
Abstract: Provided are an apparatus and a method that, in a configuration where a rotational movement of the apparatus causes switching of displayed data, effectively control display even when the apparatus has gone beyond a defined operating range. In a configuration where update processing of displayed data is executed on the basis of rotation angle information, detected by a sensor, of the apparatus, when the apparatus has rotated beyond an operating range already set up for the apparatus, a control unit changes the operating range. Specifically, an operating range is sequentially updated so that a current angle of an image display apparatus may be constantly set within the operating range. This processing for updating the operating range makes it possible to have the apparatus constantly set within an effective operating range, prevent occurrence of a problem that displayed data is set unchangeable because of the position of the apparatus, and constantly update displayed data.

TL;DR: In this article, a mobile telephone device inputs melody data and character string data from the outside by an external operation (110 to 140), and encoded melody transmission data (180), when a transmission command to call other telephone device is input (150), and the encoded melody transmissions are transmitted to a telephone circuit network, together with the telephone number of a call destination (190).
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To utilize sending/receiving function of mail data to maximum and to improve the convenience of a telephone device, in the telephone unit capable of sending and receiving mail data at calling and speech communication SOLUTION: A mobile telephone device inputs melody data and character string data from the outside by an external operation (110 to 140), the melody data and the character string data are encoded to melody transmission data (180), when a transmission command to call other telephone device is input (150), and the encoded melody transmission data are transmitted to a telephone circuit network, together with the telephone number of a call destination (190) As a result, a call signal to which the melody data and the character string data are given is transmitted to the telephone device of a call-receiving side from the telephone circuit network, and the call-receiving side instinctively knows a caller, by reproducing the melody data given to the call signal as an incoming call sound by decoding it Business matters or the like can be confirmed, by making a message display from the caller on a display apparatus, also The mail data comprising the message and a melody may be transmitted during a call COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT

TL;DR: Information received through a communication network is displayed on a display means 17 in place of a pattern to be changed with the passage of time during screen saver function operation on an information display device connected with the communication network.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently and easily utilize required information while maintaining the secrecy of the information. SOLUTION: Concerning this information display method, information received through a communication network is displayed on a display means 17 in place of a pattern to be changed with the passage of time during screen saver function operation on an information display device connected with the communication network. At such a time, a secret information discriminating means 13 discriminates whether the information received through the communication network by an information receiving means 11 is secret information or not. When that information is not secret information, the information is displayed on the display means 17 as it is by an information display control means 16 but when the information is secret information, it is displayed on the display means 17 by inputting a password through an input means 15 by a user.
