Grain refinement mechanism of multiple laser shock processing impacts on ANSI 304 stainless steel

TL;DR: In this article, the micro-structural evolution and grain refinement in ANSI 304 stainless steel subjected to multiple laser shock processing (LSP) impacts were investigated by means of cross-sectional optical microscopy and transmission electron microscopy observations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of laser shock processing on the mechanical properties and fatigue lives of the turbojet engine blades manufactured by LY2 aluminum alloy

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of laser shock processing (LSP) on the residual stresses and micro-hardness of the turbojet engine blades manufactured by LY2 aluminum alloy, and fatigue performance of the notched specimens cut from LY 2 blade plate were investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Friction and wear on laser textured Ti6Al4V surface subjected to laser shock peening with contacting foil

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of these two LSP methods on topography, micro-hardness and residual stress distribution were studied, and the friction and wear performance under dry friction and oil lubrication were also studied.
Journal ArticleDOI

Microstructure and microhardness of fiber laser butt welded joint of stainless steel plates

TL;DR: In this paper, the weld appearance, microstructure, composition distribution and microhardness of welded joint were investigated with a YLR-6000 fiber laser under Ar protective gas, and the results showed that the narrow and fully penetrated welded joints without marco-defects can be obtained with tightly focused 2kW fiber laser power and 20mm/s welding speed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of laser shock peening on wear behaviors of TC11 alloy at elevated temperature

TL;DR: In this article, the microstructure, micro-hardness and residual stress of TC11 alloy treated by laser shock peening (LSP) are investigated and the sliding wear experiments are performed to study the influence of various temperature and applied load on the wear behaviors of TC 11 alloy with and without LSP.
