Journal ArticleDOI

A new coronavirus associated with human respiratory disease in China.

TL;DR: Phylogenetic and metagenomic analyses of the complete viral genome of a new coronavirus from the family Coronaviridae reveal that the virus is closely related to a group of SARS-like coronaviruses found in bats in China.
Journal ArticleDOI

Expanding the RNA Virosphere by Unbiased Metagenomics

TL;DR: Some of the recent advances in the understanding of the RNA virosphere that have stemmed from metagenomics are reviewed, future directions are noted, and some of the remaining challenges to this rapidly developing field are highlighted.
Journal ArticleDOI

Blood molecular markers associated with COVID-19 immunopathology and multi-organ damage.

TL;DR: To understand host responses to COVID‐19 pathophysiology, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics were combined to identify molecular markers in peripheral blood and plasma samples of patients experiencing a range of disease severities and 17 healthy controls to identify genes, proteins, metabolites, and exRNAs that might assist in predicting the prognosis of SARS‐CoV‐2 infection.
