Abstract: A novel image denoising algorithm is proposed,which utilizes curvelet transform combining with cycle spinning.It avoids image artifacts due to the lack of translation invariance of curvelet transform.The experimental results show that the proposed curvelet reconstructions method yields denoised images with higher PSNR and better perceptual quality than the ones denoised by classical wavelet transform.

Abstract: Aiming at the problem of ground penetrating radar image denoising, a new adaptive image denoising algorithm based on nonsubsampled Contourlet transform is proposed. The algorithm firstly performs nonsubsampled Contourlet transform to the noise image, to obtain the coefficients of each directional sub band and each scale, then, according to the energy of the coefficient, the denoising threshold value is adjusted adaptively. Simulation results show that, compared with the wavelet threshold denoising algorithm, the proposed algorithm can effectively remove the Gauss white noise in the image, improve the peak signal to noise ratio (PNSR), while preserving the edge details of the image, it can improve the PSNR value and reduce the Gibbs phenomenon.

Abstract: Image will be inevitably polluted by noise in the process of generation and transmission. The paper adopts the method of observing image of scale over a long distance to record the settlement of the building. The image of scale is constituted by straight lines. Based on this kind of particularity, the paper will introduce the principle of Contourlet transform and Curvelet transform; denoising image with Contourlet transform and then strengthen image with Curvelet transform to make details of image of scale clearer and to observe its slight change. The paper makes full use of original information of image and information of noise to realize the denoising of image and to keep details. The result shows that the effect of the method of denoising mentioned is better.
