Journal ArticleDOI

Molecular typing of CTX-M-producing escherichia coli isolates from environmental water, swine feces, specimens from healthy humans, and human patients.

TL;DR: This study is the first to report the molecular homology analysis of CTX-M-producing E. coli isolates collected from water, swine, and healthy and hospitalized humans, suggesting that pathogens in the environment might originate both from humans and from animals.
Journal ArticleDOI

Prevalence, risk factors and molecular epidemiology of carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae in patients from Zhejiang, China, 2008-2018.

TL;DR: The prevalence of Carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae (CRKP) increased from 2.5%, 2008 to 15.8%, 2018, and the main CRKP sequence type was ST11, and bla KPC-2 was the most prevalent gene variant.
Journal ArticleDOI

Emergence of Escherichia coli Sequence Type 131 Isolates Producing KPC-2 Carbapenemase in China

TL;DR: This is the first report of rapid emergence of KPC-2-producing E. coli ST131 in China, and 13 isolates were consistent with the genetic environment in pE1, showing high-level carbapenem resistance.
Journal ArticleDOI

Emerging Carriage of NDM-5 and MCR-1 in Escherichia coli From Healthy People in Multiple Regions in China: A Cross Sectional Observational Study

TL;DR: The incidence ofCREC carriage in healthy people in China was small; however, the co-existence of CREC with mcr-1 is disconcerting, and pre-screening prior to admission and monitoring of patients on high-dependency wards is highly recommended to control and prevent the dissemination of CRE in hospitals.
