••
TL;DR: In this article , a new blade profile design using a fixed trailing-edge flap was investigated using blade element momentum (BEM) approach and validated using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) approach.

••
TL;DR: In this article , the authors proposed a blower model for the first time to improve the energy harvesting efficiency of a flapping wing, and the results showed that there is an optimal working area on the upper and lower airfoil blowers under the given working conditions.

TL;DR: In this paper , the impact of boundary layer suction (BLS) on the aerodynamic performance of a horizontal axis wind turbine (HAWT) was numerically investigated, and the results indicated that the use of BLS control can increase the pressure difference between the suction surface and the pressure surface, raise the peak negative pressure at the leading edge and shift the airfoil flow separation point backwards, and thus effectively enhance the stability of the flow field.
