Singular Lenses for Flexural Waves on Elastic Thin Curved Plates
TL;DR: In this article, a series of Eaton lenses with a singularity for flexural waves can be obtained by approaching a near-zero thickness of the plate precisely at the location of the singularity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Birefringence of Single Polarization for Flexural-Wave Metamaterials
TL;DR: In this paper , a two-dimensional elastic metamaterial was proposed to demonstrate birefringence of single polarization for flexural waves at low frequencies in which the wavelength is at least a few times larger than the lattice constant.
Journal ArticleDOI
Experimental demonstration of Willis coupling for elastic torsional waves
TL;DR: In this article , the authors experimentally demonstrate Willis coupling for elastic torsional waves on a thin beam, which is achieved by breaking mirror symmetry for a metamaterial atom with local resonance for the particular type of elastic waves, which also serves as a universal approach in generating Willis coupling.
Journal ArticleDOI
Conformally Mapped Black Hole Effect in Elastic Curved Continuum
TL;DR: In this article , a conformal mapping in elastic continuum with curved-space framework is proposed to simulate the 2D point singularity associated to the black hole, which results in highly confined energy and lagged timings within a branch cut of the conformal map.
