Journal ArticleDOI

Size-tunable hydrothermal synthesis of SnS2 nanocrystals with high performance in visible light-driven photocatalytic reduction of aqueous Cr(VI).

TL;DR: The photocatalytic results suggested that SnS(2) nanocrystals are a promising photocatalyst in the efficient utilization of solar energy for the treatment of Cr(VI)-containing wastewater.
Journal ArticleDOI

High-Performance Visible-Light-Driven SnS2/SnO2 Nanocomposite Photocatalyst Prepared via In situ Hydrothermal Oxidation of SnS2 Nanoparticles

TL;DR: It was found that the as-prepared SnS ₂/SnO₂ nanocomposites with suitable SnO⁂ content not only demonstrated superior photocatalytic activity to both SnS₁ nanoparticles and physically mixed SnS¬2/ SnO¬1 composite nanoparticles, but also had remarkable photoc atalytic stability.
Journal ArticleDOI

One-step hydrothermal synthesis of high-performance visible-light-driven SnS2/SnO2 nanoheterojunction photocatalyst for the reduction of aqueous Cr(VI)

TL;DR: In this article, a simple and cost-effective one-step hydrothermal method, which was based on the reactions of tin(IV) chloride pentahydrate and different dosages of thioacetamide in water at 190°C for 6h, was employed for the synthesis of composition-tunable SnS 2 /SnO 2 nanoheterojunctions.
Journal ArticleDOI

One-step in situ solvothermal synthesis of SnS2/TiO2 nanocomposites with high performance in visible light-driven photocatalytic reduction of aqueous Cr(VI)

TL;DR: In this article, the as-synthesized SnS 2 /TiO 2 nanocomposite with adjustable TiO 2 contents was synthesized directly via the solvothermal reactions of SnCl 4 ·5H 2 O, thioacetamide and different amounts of tetrabutyl titanate in the mixed solvents of ethanol and acetic acid at 180°C for 12h.
Journal ArticleDOI

Novel synthesis and high visible light photocatalytic activity of SnS2 nanoflakes from SnCl2·2H2O and S powders

TL;DR: In this paper, a novel method based on heating the mixture of SnCl 2 ·2H 2 O and excess S powders in air at 200-240°C for 0-10h ( t ǫ = 0ǫ), coupled with a subsequent washing treatment, was proposed for the synthesis of SnS 2 nanoflakes.
