Nitric Oxide Production and Regulation of Endothelial Nitric-oxide Synthase Phosphorylation by Prolonged Treatment with Troglitazone: EVIDENCE FOR INVOLVEMENT OF PEROXISOME PROLIFERATOR-ACTIVATED RECEPTOR (PPAR) γ-DEPENDENT AND PPARγ-INDEPENDENT SIGNALING PATHWAYS

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that prolonged treatment with troglitazone increases endothelial NO production by at least two independent signaling pathways: PPARγ-dependent, VEGF-KDR/Flk-1-Akt-mediated eNOS-Ser1179 phosphorylation and PParγ-independent, eNos-Ser116 dephosphorylation.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Domain-specific sentiment analysis using contextual feature generation

TL;DR: A novel framework for sentiment analysis, which exploits sentiment topic information for generating context-driven features and bootstrap from a small set of seed clues and generate new clues by utilizing linguistic dependencies and collocation information between sentiment clues and sentiment topics.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hrp3 controls nucleosome positioning to suppress non‐coding transcription in eu‐ and heterochromatin

TL;DR: It is reported that the Schizosaccharomyces pombe CHD remodeller, Hrp3, is a global regulator that drives proper nucleosome positioning and nucleosite stability and indicates that a well‐positioned nucleosomes by HrP3 is important for the spatial‐temporal control of transcription‐associated processes.
Journal ArticleDOI

SET7/9 Methylation of the Pluripotency Factor LIN28A Is a Nucleolar Localization Mechanism that Blocks let-7 Biogenesis in Human ESCs

TL;DR: It is found that SET7/9 monomethylation in a putative nucleolar localization region of LIN28A increases its nuclear retention and protein stability and provides insight into the molecular mechanism underlying the posttranslational methylation of nuclearLIN28A and its ability to modulate pluripotency by repressing let-7 miRNA expression in human embryonic stem cells.
Book ChapterDOI

Identifying controversial issues and their sub-topics in news articles

TL;DR: Through an experiment and analysis using the MPQA corpus consisting of news articles, the proposed method is promising for both of the tasks although many additional research issues remain to be tapped in the future.
