Journal ArticleDOI

Identification and characterization of a novel SH3-domain binding protein, Sab, which preferentially associates with Bruton's tyrosine kinase (BtK).

TL;DR: Protein interaction cloning method was used to identify a novel molecule, Sab, which binds to the SH3 domain of Bruton's tyrosine kinase (Btk), the deficient cytoplasmic tyrosines in human X-linked agammaglobulinemia and murine X- linked immunodeficiency.
Journal ArticleDOI

The effects of mechanical stress on the growth, differentiation, and paracrine factor production of cardiac stem cells.

TL;DR: Using a traditional stretching model, it is demonstrated that mechanical stress suppressed the growth and proliferation of cardiac stem cells, enhanced their release of inflammatory cytokines and angiogenic factors, and improved their myogenic differentiation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Laparoscopic cecopexy for mobile cecum syndrome manifesting as cecal volvulus: Report of a case

TL;DR: Perioperative examination revealed a mobile cecum caused by an elongated ascending colon, which can be detected easily during laparoscopic surgery, which is minimally invasive and cosmetically, physically, and economically beneficial.
Journal ArticleDOI

DNA damage signaling is activated during cancer progression in human colorectal carcinoma.

TL;DR: Investigation of the level of phosphorylated proteins of the DDR pathway in human colorectal carcinoma found that all were significantly expressed during tumor progression in advanced carcinoma, suggesting that neoplastic cells may avoid apoptosis by impairing the DDR which acts as a barrier against tumor progression.
Journal ArticleDOI

Laparoscopic resection of an ileal lipoma: Report of a case.

TL;DR: The experience supports earlier reports that US and CT are effective tools in the diagnosis of bowel lipoma and performs laparoscopic partial resection of the ileum, including the tumor.
