Journal ArticleDOI

Acoustic localization of partial discharge sources in power transformers using a particle-swarm-optimization-route-searching algorithm

TL;DR: In this article, a transformer physical model is established by taking these complex factors into consideration, and the velocity and propagation factors are set for each node according to its acoustic wave propagation characteristics.
Journal ArticleDOI

Separating Multi-Source Partial Discharge Signals Using Linear Prediction Analysis and Isolation Forest Algorithm

TL;DR: A universal separation methodology using linear prediction analysis (LPA) and the isolation forest algorithm (IFA) is introduced and results confirm that the proposed algorithm can effectively separate and distinguish various PD signals.
Journal ArticleDOI

Partial discharge localisation methodology for power transformers based on improved acoustic propagation route search algorithm

TL;DR: An improved propagation route search (IPRS) algorithm, which can recreate the propagation process and calculate the fastest AE routes, is proposed to localise the PD origin and can effectively reduce localisation error.
Journal ArticleDOI

Arrival time estimation methodology for partial discharge acoustic signals in power transformers based on a double-threshold technique

TL;DR: In this article, a double-threshold (DT) method is introduced, and its improvement based on short-time energy and a zero-crossing rate is described, and a localisation experiment was conducted on a 35 kV transformer, and localisation results were calculated employing various AT methods and different localisation algorithms, such as the Chan, genetic, imperial competition, and improved-propagation-route-search algorithms.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Research on Partial Discharge Identification of Power Transformer Based on Chaotic Characteristics Extracted by G-P Algorithm

TL;DR: A method of PD signal recognition based on chaotic characteristics ofPD signal in power transformer is introduced which can achieve pattern recognition well.
