Numerical analysis of welding deformation and residual stress in marine propeller nozzle with hybrid laser-arc girth welds
TL;DR: In this article, the deformation and residual stress of a large marine propeller nozzle in hybrid laser-arc girth welding were analyzed by thermal-elastic-plastic finite element method and verified by experiment.
Journal ArticleDOI
A chromosome-level genome assembly of the striped catfish (Pangasianodon hypophthalmus).
Zijian Gao,Xinxin You,Xinhui Zhang,Jieming Chen,Tengfei Xu,Yu Huang,Xueqiang Lin,Junmin Xu,Chao Bian,Qiong Shi +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a high-quality genome assembly of the striped catfish was generated by integration of Illumina short reads, Nanopore long reads and Hi-C data, which provided a valuable genetic resource for biomedical studies on the high-fat trait, and lays a solid foundation for practical aquaculture and molecular breeding of this international teleost species.

Method and apparatus for detecting objects of interest in soccer video by color
TL;DR: In this article, a shape analysis-based approach was proposed to identify the players and the ball from roughly extracted foregrounds obtained by color segmentation and connected component analysis, by performing a Euclidean distance transform to extract skeletons for every foreground blob, by removing false alarms (non-players and non-ball), and then by performing skeleton pruning and a reverse Euclideane distance transform, which cut off the artifacts primarily caused by playing field lines.

LARP7 ameliorates cellular senescence and aging by allosterically enhancing SIRT1 deacetylase activity.
Pengyi Yan,Zixuan Li,Junhao Xiong,Zilong Geng,Weiting Wei,Yan Zhang,Gengze Wu,Tao Zhuang,Xiao Yu Tian,Zhijie Liu,Junling Liu,Kun Sun,Fengyuan Chen,Yuzhen Zhang,Chunyu Zeng,Yu Huang,Bing Zhang +16 more
TL;DR: This study identifies LARP7 as a gatekeeper for senescence, and the altered ATM-LARP7-SIRT1-p53/NF-κB pathway plays an important role in DDR-mediated cellular senescences and aging-related atherosclerosis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Uncertainties in estimating regional methane emissions from rice paddies due to data scarcity in the modeling approach
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors discussed how data scarcity affected the uncertainties in model estimations of rice paddy methane emissions, from county/provincial scale up to national scale, with a local-scale model and the Monte Carlo simulation.
