Dominant subtype switch in avian influenza viruses during 2016–2019 in China
Yuhai Bi,Yuhai Bi,Juan Li,Shanqin Li,Guanghua Fu,Tao Jin,Cheng Zhang,Cheng Zhang,Yongchun Yang,Zhenghai Ma,Wen-xia Tian,Jida Li,Shuqi Xiao,Liqiang Li,Renfu Yin,Zhang Yi,Lixin Wang,Yantao Qin,Zhongzi Yao,Fanyu Meng,Dongfang Hu,Delong Li,Gary Wong,Gary Wong,Fei Liu,Na Lv,Liang Wang,Lifeng Fu,Yang Yang,Yun Peng,Jinmin Ma,Kirill Sharshov,Alexander A. Shestopalov,Marina Gulyaeva,George F. Gao,Jianjun Chen,Yi Shi,William J. Liu,Dong Chu,Yu Huang,Yingxia Liu,Lei Liu,Wenjun Liu,Quanjiao Chen,Weifeng Shi +44 more
TL;DR: Almost all of the H9 AIVs and many H7N9 and H6N2 strains prefer human-type receptors, posing an increased risk for human infections, which greatly impacts the prevention and control of Aivs in China and worldwide.
Journal ArticleDOI
Vasorelaxant effects of purified green tea epicatechin derivatives in rat mesenteric artery.
TL;DR: The present results suggest that epicatechin derivatives from green tea leaves relaxed rat mesenteric arteries probably by inhibiting Ca2+ influx and the protein kinase C-dependent contractile pathway and intracellular Ca2+, and may not be involved.
Journal ArticleDOI
H2S Inhibits Hyperglycemia-Induced Intrarenal Renin-Angiotensin System Activation via Attenuation of Reactive Oxygen Species Generation
Hong Xue,Ping Yuan,Ping Yuan,Jun Ni,Chen Li,Decui Shao,Jia Liu,Yang Shen,Zhen Wang,Li Zhou,Wei Zhang,Yu Huang,Chen Yu,Rui Wang,Rui Wang,Limin Lu +15 more
TL;DR: Data suggested that the decrease in H2S under hyperglycemic condition leads to an imbalance between oxidative and reductive species, which, in turn, contributes to the pathogenesis of renal dysfunction.
Journal ArticleDOI
Composition Tuning the Upconversion Emission in NaYF4:Yb/ Tm Hexaplate Nanocrystals
TL;DR: These studies demonstrate a rational approach for fine tuning the upconversion properties in rare-earth doped nanostructures and can broadly impact areas ranging from energy harvesting, energy conversion to biomedical imaging and therapeutics.
Journal ArticleDOI
Characterization of volatile organic compounds at a roadside environment in Hong Kong: An investigation of influences after air pollution control strategies
Yu Huang,Zhen Hao Ling,Shuncheng Lee,Steven Sai Hang Ho,Junji Cao,Donald R. Blake,Yan Cheng,Senchao Lai,Kin Fai Ho,Yuan Gao,Long Cui,Peter K.K. Louie +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, four characterization campaigns were conducted at a representative urban roadside environment in Hong Kong between May 2011 and February 2012, and the results demonstrated the effectiveness of the switch from diesel to LPG-fueled engine for taxis and mini-buses implemented by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government between the recent ten years.
