TL;DR: In this paper, post-processed payment transaction records of consumer and business payers are received into a multi-dimensional networked data mart from databases originating from a multitude of financial institutions and payment processors.
Abstract: Processed payment transaction records of consumer and business payers are received into a multi-dimensional networked data mart from databases originating from a multitude of financial institutions and payment processors. A post-processor linked to the data mart assigns all such transaction records with universal consumer and business expenditure categories used for payer financial management. Post-processed payment transaction records are indexed in the data mart by time, geography, and the universal consumer and business expenditure categories. Mathematical and analytical tools are applied to aggregated payment transaction records according to geographic, topographical, meteorological, chronological, demographic and other parameters. Endusers interact electronically with the data mart to view, create, synthesize and receive post-processed payment data for economic, investment, business, and marketing analysis.

TL;DR: In this article, a standalone notification system, including a notification server which generates electronic messages for alerting customers of potentially fraudulent activity on one or more of their financial accounts, is presented.
Abstract: A standalone notification system, including a notification server which generates electronic messages for alerting customers of potentially fraudulent activity on one or more of their financial accounts. Alternatively, or in addition thereto, the notification system may be used to forward transaction code(s) to customers for verification of a request for high risk transaction(s) with respect to a customer's financial account. The transaction code is generated in response to a high risk transaction request and sent to through an identified customer notification means, e.g., e-mail, short message service (“SMS”), facsimile, mobile phone, telephone, etc. The customer must enter the transaction code within a predetermined amount of time in order to verify the high-risk transaction request.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors propose a method and process by which an existing and large network of devices can be used by consumers to authenticate themselves, and permits each consumer to apply any of the various payments mechanisms available to him.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and process by which an existing and large network of devices can be used by consumers to authenticate themselves, and permits each consumer to apply any of the various payments mechanisms available to him. The existing broadly distributed network is active and passive radio frequency identification (“RFID”) devices held by consumers. Various types of accounts are linked to devices and allow users to perform various purchase transactions, as well as non-financial transactions.

TL;DR: In this paper, the ATMs are operated to acquire image and magnetic data from deposited checks to determine the genuineness of checks and the authority of a user to receive cash for such checks.
Abstract: An automated banking machine system and method includes ATMs which accept checks and dispense cash to users. The ATMs are operated to acquire image and magnetic data from deposited checks to determine the genuineness of checks and the authority of a user to receive cash for such checks. Cash may be dispensed to the user from the ATM in exchange for the deposited check. The ATMs dispense cash responsive to communications with a transaction host.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a process for aligning service containers in a system environment, which is consistent with certain aspects related to the present invention, such as receiving first event data from an application service container providing application services during runtime of a web service.
Abstract: Methods and systems consistent with certain aspects related to the present invention provide a process for aligning service containers in a system environment. In one aspect of the invention, the process may include receiving first event data from an application service container providing application services during runtime of a web service and receiving second event data from a system service container providing system services during runtime of the web service. The process may also dynamically align the system and application services such that a predetermined service level associated with the web service is met during runtime based on at least one of the first and second event data.

TL;DR: Share of Wallet (SoW) is a modeling approach that utilizes various data sources to provide outputs that describe a consumer's spending capability, tradeline history including balance transfers, and balance information.
Abstract: Share of Wallet (“SoW”) is a modeling approach that utilizes various data sources to provide outputs that describe a consumer's spending capability, tradeline history including balance transfers, and balance information. These outputs can be appended to data profiles of customers and prospects and can be utilized to support decisions involving prospecting, new applicant evaluation, and customer management across the lifecycle. In addition to credit card companies, SoW outputs may be useful to companies issuing, for example: private label cards, life insurance, on-line brokerages, mutual funds, car sales/leases, hospitals, and home equity lines of credit or loans. “Best customer” models can correlate SoW outputs with various customer groups. A SoW score focusing on a consumer's spending capacity can be used in the same manner as a credit bureau score.
