TL;DR: In the two-phase system CH2Cl2 as mentioned in this paper, water gave the corresponding carbonyl compounds with good yields, including 4-chlorobutanol, cyclopropylcarbinols, andm-phenoxybenzyl alcohol.
Abstract: Oxidation of 4-chlorobutanol-1, cyclopropylcarbinols, andm-phenoxybenzyl alcohol with electrogenerated bromine, molecular bromine, and sodium hypochlorite using N-oxopiperidinium salt in the two-phase system CH2Cl2—water gave the corresponding carbonyl compounds with good yields

TL;DR: In this paper, a study was made of the electrochemical cleavage of the double bond of propenylbenzene and p-propenyl toluene, which takes place upon anodic oxidation of (Ia, b) in alcoholic solutions of sodium trifluoroacetate and other electrolytes.
Abstract: A study has been made of the electrochemical cleavage of the double bond of propenylbenzene (Ia) and p-propenylanisole (Ib), which takes place upon anodic oxidation of (Ia, b) in alcoholic solutions of sodium trifluoroacetate and other electrolytes and which leads to conversion of (Ia, b) to benzaldehyde dialkylacetals. Conditions are found that provide for highly selective (>80%) conversion of (Ib) and p-propenyl toluene to p-methyl- and p- methoxybenzaldehyde dimethylacetals.
