Graphene and Carbon Nanotube Hybrid Structure: A Review
Kang Xia,Haifei Zhan,YuanTong Gu +2 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors summarized the recent progress of the highly ordered GNHS synthesis/assembly, and discussed the mechanical properties of GNHS under various conditions as obtained from molecular dynamics simulations.
Journal ArticleDOI
The best features of diamond nanothread for nanofibre applications
TL;DR: In this paper, an ultrathin diamond nanothread has been synthesized with high torsional deformation capability and high interfacial load-transfer efficiency, which is attributed to strong mechanical interlocking effect at the interface.
Journal ArticleDOI
Modelling of simultaneous heat and mass transfer considering the spatial distribution of air velocity during intermittent microwave convective drying
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors developed an IMCD modeling framework through integrating a simultaneous heat and mass transfer model with a computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) model (drying air flow) under the condition of volumetric heating.
Journal ArticleDOI
CoB 6 monolayer: A robust two-dimensional ferromagnet
TL;DR: In this paper, a planar planar 2D ferromagnetic monolayer was identified as a stable 2D magnet and its magnetic stability and moment can be remarkably enhanced and tuned by external strain.
Journal Article
Thermal conductivity of a new carbon nanotube analog: The diamond nanothread
TL;DR: In this article, the thermal conductivities of diamond nanothread (DNT) were studied based on non-equilibrium molecular dynamics simulations, and strong length dependence in thermal conductivity was observed in DNTs with different lengths of poly-benzene rings.
