Journal ArticleDOI

Theory, technology and prospects of conventional and unconventional natural gas

TL;DR: In this article, the development of natural gas in China has entered a golden and leap-forward stage, which is a necessary bridge to clean energy, and a study on the status quo, theory, technology and prospect for natural gas development has been conducted.
Journal ArticleDOI

Development characteristics and orientation of tight oil and gas in China

TL;DR: Zhang et al. as discussed by the authors reviewed the development history of tight oil and gas in China, summarizing theoretical understandings in exploration and development, and comparing the geological conditions and development technologies objectively in China and the United States.
Journal ArticleDOI

Well type and pattern optimization technology for large scale tight sand gas, Sulige gas field, NW China

TL;DR: In this article, a series of techniques have been developed including hierarchical description for the reservoir architecture of large composite sand bodies and well spacing optimization, well pattern optimization, design and optimization for horizontal trajectory and deliverability evaluation for different types of gas wells.
Journal ArticleDOI

Approximate semi-analytical modeling of transient behavior of horizontal well intercepted by multiple pressure-dependent conductivity fractures in pressure-sensitive reservoir

TL;DR: In this article, a semi-analytical solution is proposed by coupling fracture-reservoir flow model on the basis of linear superposition principle in the terms of Pedrosa's transform formulation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Progress in key technologies for evaluating marine shale gas development in China

TL;DR: In this article, a generalized analytical model was established by incorporating fractal and continuum geometry theory to capture the transient behavior of such fractured horizontal well throughout production life, and an associated probabilistic analysis, based on the Monte Carlo simulation, was presented by linking a Probabilistic worksheet with the analytical model, and then used to determine a range of possible outcomes (i.e., EUR, decline rate and production time).
