Abstract: Aborda conversao de registros bibliograficos a ser usado por instituicoes que nao disponibilizam a totalidade de dados de seus acervos em catalogos online de acesso publico. Apesar da possibilidade de recorrerem a processos de conversao retrospectiva de registros bibliograficos para saldar tal lacuna, trabalhos tecnicos tornam-se necessarios, tais como adequacao de pontos de acesso de assunto, de notas e outras informacoes locais nos quais incorrem correcao, supressao de campos, modificacao de conteudo e acrescimo de informacoes locais. Apresenta-se a conversao retrospectiva de dados bibliograficos a partir do processamento de imagens, que considera o aproveitamento integral do registro bibliografico da propria instituicao (dados bibliograficos, pontos de acesso e dados de localizacao, ja definidos nos registros analogicos). Propoe-se como objetivo principal apresentar o Scan for MARC, um interpretador computacional de acesso web para conversao de dados bibliograficos analogicos para o Formato MARC21 Bibliografico. Recorre-se a abordagem qualitativa, com carater exploratorio e descritivo, e a pesquisa bibliografica. Os resultados apresentam contribuicoes no plano cientifico, diante do desenvolvimento de aspectos sintaticos e semânticos de registros bibliograficos; no plano tecnologico, dado o desenvolvimento do Scan for MARC como produto para a melhoria de processos de conversao de dados bibliograficos analogicos; no plano social, inerente ao compartilhamento de registros e as suas metodologias, a ampliacao do acesso aos metadados e a interoperabilidade entre sistemas gerenciadores de bibliotecas, fatores que contribuem para a discussao e socializacao do conhecimento cientifico/tecnologico.

Abstract: Regardless of the professional field is essential reading and reading competence. The intention of this work, to investigate the behavior of the reader students of Library and Information Science, Federal University of Sao Carlos (UFSCar). Specific objectives were established: to identify the profile of the sample, identify the profile of readers and non-readers of course, show the reading preferences; know the meaning of reading by students; expose the frequency of reading, to know the motivations for reading students, know how to read, identify the key influencers in reading; expose how students have access to books, to know what the main barriers to fluency reader. Chose to study the behavior of students in this course player, because he understands that, as a future librarian, there is this intrinsic relationship with others and new readers, to influence them and encourage them to the habit of reading, using a diverse range of reading materials written and also the fact that reading permeates professional activity. The work had as main basis for comparative analysis, research Portraits of Reading in Brazil, held in 2008 by the Office Pro-Book. The development work was based on quantitative and methodological procedures we adopted the questionnaire as a research tool. For the study and treatment of the data used the statistical approach, expressed in tables, graphs and figures. Thus it was possible to establish relationships between the profile of the student of Library and Information Science, answers to questions and, consequently, test hypotheses and to check the range of goals. As a result of the study identified itself as the profile of the students, mostly female, enrolled in second semester, aged between 21 and 25 years with public school students in most school life with some kind of occupation between work and training; as a profile of readers and non-readers, was characterized as most readers (60% among males and 67.27% among women), among which 77.55% have any occupation, 38.77% are between 21 and 25 years old and 75.51% spent most of school life in public school, about the reading preferences of students: the genre's most widely read novel and the type of material is predominant college texts; as to the meaning of reading: a source of knowledge for life, however, indicate that few are concerned with reading in his free time as to the frequency of reading: reading 2-4 books and more than 10 articles over the last three months, and dedication from 40 to 10 hours per week reading; between motivations for reading: Most read for pleasure, taste, or spontaneous option, and the factor that most influences the choice of a book is the theme, when the mode of reading: in the first half, the entire book and, finally, changes to more than one book at the same time, there is a preference for quiet places, and there is usually read in another language, among the key influencers in reading: there is the mother, or a responsible woman, the constancy of the fact that they have someone reading at home, and receiving reading material as present in infancy with regard to access to books, the majority stresses the use of libraries; and as the main barriers to reading: difficulty concentrating.

Abstract: As possibilidades advindas da ampliacao dos recursos tecnologicos tem contribuido para a reconfiguracao dos sistemas de informacao e das formas de representacao e acessos aos recursos informacionais. Com a descricao arquivistica a conformacao tem ocorrido, alem dos mecanismos computacionais e de aplicacoes de softwares, com a proposicao do modelo conceitual internacional de descricao arquivistica, identificado como Records in Contexts (RiC). Assim, o questionamento central desta pesquisa centra-se em compreender qual o cenario da literatura cientifica sobre a descricao arquivistica, o modelo conceitual internacional de descricao arquivistica, identificado como Records in Contextx (RiC), proposto pelo International Council on Archives (ICA), e o software de aplicacao de descricao arquivistica, denominado AtoM, cujo desenvolvimento inicial tambem se deu pelo ICA. A pesquisa, com abordagem qualitativa, faz uso, tambem da abordagem quantitativa, haja vista a necessidade de se identificar quais sao os destaques nos resultados da pesquisa. De natureza aplicada busca objetivos exploratorios e faz uso da pesquisa bibliografica e documental para o alcance dos resultados. Para a analise dos dados coletados fez-se uso de graficos, tabelas, nuvens de tags e de conteudo.

Abstract: It is assumed that the achievement of citizenship is enhanced by critical capability that enables the citizen for their reading competence , whose improvement can be achieved through the exercise of reading. The objective is to rescue the practice of collective reading in domes , the similarity of literary soirees , in order to develop reading skills , encourage critical thinking in everyday actions involving environmental issues . The development will be give by employing methodologies that will operationalize the evenings by reading fictional works that address issues of the environment . Hopefully , at the end of the activity have succeeded for the collective reading , sensitize the community about the importance of environmental issues and changing habits that impact different aspects of everyday life of the human being , citizen and professional . It is also expected to stimulate exchanges between scientific knowledge and those accumulated by communities and the possible emergence of indicators that could support public policies reading.

Abstract: Resumo: A presente pesquisa tem por objetivo estudar o uso do formato de intercâmbio MARC 21 no Brasil, com foco no formato para Informacao de Comunidade. Apresenta como objetivos especificos: identificar a abrangencia dos sistemas de informacao para o uso do MARC 21; apresentar um estudo sistematizado sobre o MARC 21 para Informacao de Comunidade nas bibliotecas das universidades brasileiras, publicas e privadas, com Indice Geral de Cursos igual ou superior a 3. Os procedimentos metodologicos abordaram a pesquisa como qualiquantitativa, do tipo exploratoria e descritiva, com caracteristica de levantamento de dados. A coleta de dados foi realizada, em um primeiro momento, por meio de questionarios encaminhados aos catalogadores das bibliotecas identificadas, e, posteriormente, optou-se pela coleta nos sites das bibliotecas. Como resultados, verificou-se que as bibliotecas nao utilizam o formato MARC 21 para Informacao de Comunidade e que a maioria delas utilizam softwares proprietarios que nao fazem uso do Formato MARC 21, fator que dificulta o intercâmbio de dados entre as proprias instituicoes. Em futuras pesquisas pretende-se continuar os estudos sobre a interdisciplinaridade entre as areas de Ciencia da Informacao e de Sistemas de Informacao com foco na catalogacao, relacionando-as com as novas diretrizes da catalogacao, a Resource Description and Access (RDA). Abstract: A presente pesquisa situa-se no âmbito da organizacao da informacao em catalogos de bibliotecas com enfoque na representacao descritiva e nos formatos de intercâmbio de dados. A investigacao aqui proposta se dara por meio de uma pesquisa bibliografica e de natureza descritiva, com abordagem qualitativa. Constitui-se como objetivo conhecer caracteristicas da trajetoria e da estrutura da descricao de livros impressos nos diferentes formatos de descricao bibliografica, tais como: o CALCO, o IBICT, o CCF, o UNIMARC e outros, realizando um cotejamento destes com as caracteristicas do padrao MARC 21. Para atender o objetivo proposto, foram delimitados os seguintes objetivos especificos: identificar formatos de descricao e intercâmbio de dados utilizados em bibliotecas e seus principios norteadores; enfatizar a importância de se adotar as regras de descricao e os formatos de intercâmbio para a Representacao Descritiva em sistemas de bibliotecas; e apontar em que aspectos a estrutura de descricao dos dados de outros formatos de intercâmbio se assemelham ou se diferenciam do Formato MARC 21.

Abstract: El articulo tiene como proposito profundizar en la formacion de profesores de Educacion Fisica en Chile, desde una vision historica, relevando las actuales politicas publicas que refieren a los procesos de Formacion Inicial Docente. Desde el punto de vista metodologico es un trabajo de orden cualitativo descriptivo, que tiene como procedimiento la investigacion documental y bibliografica. Los resultados indican que la disciplina ha estado presente desde el inicio de la formacion de profesores en Chile, transitando desde una racionalidad tecnica a modelos de caracter mas bien pedagogicos. Se concluye que la Educacion Fisica actual en Chile se debe orientar al desarrollo humano, integrando adecuadamente los componentes de actividad fisica, deporte y salud, bajo estandares pedagogicos y disciplinares. Al mismo tiempo, se observa que aun existen aspectos que se deben revisar y estudiar a objeto de perfeccionar los procesos de formacion inicial de profesores, en el marco de la apuesta de desarrollo que ha hecho el Estado para la presente decada. Summary. The aim of this article is to delve into physical education teacher’s training in Chile, from a historical perspective, highlighting current public policies in the processes of Pre-service Teachers Training. From this methodological point of view, this work is qualitative descriptive based on documentary and bibliographic research. Results show that physical education has been present from the begining of teachers’ training in Chile, moving from a technical rationality to models based on pedagogy. As a conclusion, current Physical Education should be oriented towards human development, integrating components from physical activity, sport and health, under the pedagogical and disciplinary standards. At the same time, there are still aspects that must be revised and studied in order to improve teachers’ pre-service processes, within the framework of development proposed by the State for the present decade.

Abstract: This compilation and analysis of the initiatives related to social responsibility and sustainability in 71 Spanish university libraries obtained information primarily from web sites and print materials: activities reports, brochures, strategic plans and collection management documents. To organise and analyse the information, a list of 5 categories was developed, covering 21 elements. In 61 (85.9%) of the universities analysed, some type of library activity related to social responsibility and sustainability was identified.
