Simultaneous measurement of temperature and refractive index using microfiber knot resonators in Hi-Bi fiber loop mirrors

In this paper a new method is proposed. A high side-mode suppression ratio fiber bragg grating using ordinary system can be obtained by this method. First, let hydrogen loaded optical fiber pass the laser beam, and hold seconds, we call this pre-exposure. Second use this kind of fiber made Fiber Bragg Grating(FBG) in the original optical path. We can find that pre-exposure fiber can get FBG that has higher side-mode suppression ratio and higher performance.

Study on making high side-mode suppression ratio fiber Bragg grating

A novel measurement method is proposed to study the variety characteristic of the birefringence of high birefringence fiber with temperature.The relationship between the peak wavelength of transmission spectra of Sagnac loop based on high birefringence fiber and the birefringence are introduced.By measuring the peak wavelength displacement with temperature,the birefringence temperature coefficient is calculated.The proposed method is simple in structure and easy to be operated,which only needs a Sagnac loop mirror.Compared with the method of writing grating,this measurement simplifies the experiment complexity and reduces the design cost.
