Superconductivity at 55 K in Iron-Based F-Doped Layered Quaternary Compound Sm[O1-xFx] FeAs

TL;DR: In this article, the superconductivity of iron-based oxyarsenide Sm[O1-xFx]FeAs was reported, with the onset resistivity transition temperature at 55.0K and Meissner transition at 54.6 K. This compound has the same crystal structure as LaOFeAs with shrunk crystal lattices.
Journal ArticleDOI

Lattice and magnetic structures of PrFeAsO, PrFeAsO{sub 0.85}F{sub 0.15}, and PrFeAsO{sub 0.85}

TL;DR: In this paper, the spin and lattice structures of polycrystalline samples of nonsuperconducting PrFeAsO and superconducting PRAsO were studied using powder neutron diffraction.
Journal ArticleDOI

Strong Quantum Fluctuation of Vortices in Bulk Samples of the New Superconductor MgB2

TL;DR: In this article, the upper critical field Hc2T and the irreversibility line Hirr(T) have been determined by using transport and magnetic measurements, and a large separation has been found showing the existence of a quantum vortex liquid state induced by quantum fluctuation of vortices in the new superconductor MgB2.
Journal ArticleDOI

Structural Properties of MgB 2 Superconductors with a Critical Current Density Greater than 10 5 A/cm 2

TL;DR: In this article, structural features of MgB2 superconductors prepared under different conditions have been analyzed by means of transmission electron microscopy, and it was identified to have a hexagonal structure with the space group of P6/mmm.
