Expression Profile Matrix of Arabidopsis Transcription Factor Genes Suggests Their Putative Functions in Response to Environmental Stresses
Wenqiong Chen,Nicholas J. Provart,Jane Glazebrook,Fumiaki Katagiri,Hur-Song Chang,Thomas Eulgem,Felix Mauch,Sheng Luan,Guangzhou Zou,Steve Whitham,Paul Budworth,Yi Tao,Zhiyi Xie,Xi Chen,Steve Lam,Joel Kreps,Jeffery F. Harper,Azzedine Si-Ammour,Brigitte Mauch-Mani,Manfred Heinlein,Kappei Kobayashi,Thomas Hohn,Jeffery L. Dangl,Xun Wang,Tong Zhu +24 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used mRNA profiles generated from microarray experiments to deduce the functions of genes encoding known and putative Arabidopsis transcription factors, showing that transcription factors are important in regulating plant responses to environmental stress.
Journal ArticleDOI
Quantitative Nature of Arabidopsis Responses during Compatible and Incompatible Interactions with the Bacterial Pathogen Pseudomonas syringae
Yi Tao,Yi Tao,Zhiyi Xie,Wenqiong Chen,Jane Glazebrook,Hur Song Chang,Bin Han,Tong Zhu,Guangzhou Zou,Fumiaki Katagiri +9 more
TL;DR: Despite high similarity between responses mediated by the R genes R PS2 and RPM1 in wild-type plants, RPS2-mediated responses were strongly suppressed by the ndr1 mutation and the NahG transgene, whereas RPM1- mediated responses were not, which is consistent with the resistance phenotypes of these plants.

Plant genes involved in defense against pathogens
Hur-Song Chang,Wenqiong Chen,Bret Cooper,Jane Glazebrook,Stephen A. Goff,Yu-Ming Hou,Fumiaki Katagiri,Sheng Quan,Yi Tao,Steve Whitham,Zhiyi Xie,Tong Zhu,Guangzhou Zou +12 more
TL;DR: In this article, methods to identify genes, the expression of which are altered in response to pathogen infection, as well as the genes identified thereby and their corresponding promoters are provided.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cleavage of the Pseudomonas syringae type III effector AvrRpt2 requires a host factor(s) common among eukaryotes and is important for AvrRpt2 localization in the host cell
TL;DR: It is speculated that the virulence function of AvrRpt2 requires removal of the N-terminal region to redirect the effector protein to a specific subcellular location in the host cell after translocation of the protein.

Genes de plantes intervenant dans la defense contre des pathogenes
Hur-Song Chang,Wenqiong Chen,Bret Cooper,Jane Glazebrook,Stephen A. Goff,Yu-Ming Hou,Fumiaki Katagiri,Sheng Quan,Yi Tao,Steve Whitham,Zhiyi Xie,Tong Zhu,Guangzhou Zou +12 more
TL;DR: In this article, a procedure concerne des procedes visant a identifier des genes which are modifiee en response to an infection by a pathogene, ainsi que les genes identifies grâce au procede and leurs promoteurs correspondants.
