TL;DR: The doctoral program in Educational Policy and Leadership is designed to foster the development of scholar-practitioners by asking students not only to inquire deeply into the process of teaching and learning, but also how the organization of schools shapes the process.
Abstract: The doctoral program in Educational Policy and Leadership is designed to foster the development of scholar-practitioners. It asks students not only to inquire deeply into the process of teaching and learning, but also how the organization of schools shapes the process. In addition, the program asks students to acquire adjacent disciplinary strengths that provide contexts for considering what knowledge is of most worth, how forms of knowledge are socially distributed, and what educational measures might help bring about a more just society. Students are expected to gain expertise in research that will enable them to contribute to the ways we think about education and to develop technological and other practical skills that will enable them to implement strategies for change.

TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper improved the traditional Arnold transformation by adding two parameters a and b, furthermore they use Logistic map to generate the parameter sequences, which can achieve good image encryption effect, and it has a large key space, key sensitivity.
Abstract: Currently there are many methods for calculating the periodicity of Arnold transformation and getting the inverse transformation, the use of traditional Arnold transformation for the image scrambling has become unsafe, for this issue it proposes an algorithm for digital image block location scrambling. It has improved the traditional Arnold transformation by adding two parameters a and b, furthermore it use Logistic map to generate the parameter sequences. The digital image is blocked, then carry out Arnold transformation with different parameters on each image block, after that put the transformed pixels on the corresponding position of the encrypted image, thus achieving image location scrambling. The results of simulation show that this algorithm can achieve good image encryption effect, and it has a large key space, key sensitivity. It basically meets the effectiveness and security requirements of image encryption.

TL;DR: The new algorithm cannot only effectively encrypt images, but also can resist cipher analyzers' attack by periodicity of cat map and possesses high security in terms of the resistance to exhaustive attack, statistical attack and cipher-text-only attack.
Abstract: In this paper, an image encryption algorithm based on improved 3D cat map is proposed. The new algorithm employs Henon map chaotic sequence to generate control parameters of shuffling and uses improved 2D Logistic map sequence to substitute grey values. It cannot only effectively encrypt images, but also can resist cipher analyzers' attack by periodicity of cat map. Experimental results and security analysis show that the algorithm can be easily implemented and its encryption effect is satisfactory. Moreover, the algorithm possesses high security in terms of the resistance to exhaustive attack, statistical attack and cipher-text-only attack..

TL;DR: A novel image retrieval method based on the fixed number's MPEG-7 dominant color descriptor is proposed, which does not need the intervention of the threshold value and the dominant color number is fixed as eight.
Abstract: The dominant color descriptor (DCD) is widely applied in the image retrieval taken as one of MPEG-7 color descriptors. DCD describes the representative color distributions and features in an image or a region of interest through an effective, compact and intuitive format. A novel image retrieval method based on the fixed number's MPEG-7 dominant color descriptor is proposed. The feature extraction process does not need the intervention of the threshold value and the dominant color number is fixed as eight. The histogram intersection algorithm is used to measure features, simplifies the similarity computation complexity. The experiment results show that the precision and recall rate of this method is higher than that of non-fixed number's dominant color retrieval method.

TL;DR: Wavelet Transform method and Hilbert-Huang Transform method are analyzed and it is indicated that both these two methods can abstract the main characters of the EEG but HHT can more accurately express EEG distribution in time and frequency domain.
Abstract: Brain-computer interface (BCI) can make people control machines through electroencephalogram (EEG) which produced by brain activities It provides a new communication method between human and environment and extents human's ability to control machines One of the key points of BCI system is how to abstract and distinguish different EEG features Therefore, EEG signal processing method is the focus of BCI This article analyzed Wavelet Transform method and Hilbert-Huang Transform (HHT) method The results indicate that both these two methods can abstract the main characters of the EEG But HHT can more accurately express EEG distribution in time and frequency domain That's because it can produce a self-adaptive basis according to the signal data and obtain local and instantaneous frequency of EEG
